I have came to like the 801 atomizer, and have been using it on battery packs at 6v. I really didn't want to buy a different kind of battery so I made the 801 atomizer with a 510 connector on it.
I stripped a dead 510 atomizer, and simple soldered on the positive lead from the 801 to the 510. The I used a rubber hammer and slammed the 510 connector into the 801 atomizer.
Works like a charm, and now I can use the 801 with all my 510 batteries/passthrough/charger/PCC on trips out of the house to keep a 2ed battery charged up.
With the 510 cart, the 801 and 510 are the same size. Adding the 801 cart does make it a little longer, but only the length of the standard 510 cart.
Blowing into the atomizer shows the massive amount of vapor coming out the 4 intake holes.
Here it is on my Radio Shack 1.99USD battery box that came with a switch. It runs on 4 X AA batteries so with normal ones at 1.5v it's 6v vapping, and with normal(you can find 1.5v)1.2v rechargeable AA batteries it runs at 4.8v instead.
Nice little cheap box for high voltage vapping, and you can always find AA batteries for almost nothing.....
Now with this hard mod on the 801 I can use both the 510 atomizer and the 801 with only one connector added to the cheapo box.
