Just got my first 801 style (RN4072) atty in the mail, and wow can this thing vape!!

I've been using it on my HV passthrough with a 510->801 adapter and it's a champ! The vapor is not quite what the 510 puts out, but the flavor is AMAZING, and the throat hit nearly made me cough. Sweet!

Why didn't anyone tell me?

Now you're giving away all our secrets :p I like the RN4072's, they have a nice warm vapor at 5V, but be careful with too much liquid, my experience is they are a little leaky.

I've had no issues yet, but I'm only using about 3-4 drops. I'm used to a MAX of 3 on the 510...what would you suggest on these?

Antism, where did you get the 510-801 adapter? I have several 801 attys. I love the vapor on the 801 but I like the manual 510 mega batts. This would be the best of both worlds!
I actually picked it up from a user here in the classifieds forum. Pretty sure he's sold out, but I know altsmoke has a deal goin right now $5.95 each!

Ok, I'm vaping on the 801 again on my protege... and hoping it doesn't kill it this time. I killed two switches, and was told that my atomizer (801 not my 901 which was fine) was shorting out the switch... so I haven't touched the 801 in about a month and a half... I'm vaping it again though, and I do have to say, the first atty must have been bad, cos I'm finally getting VAPOR in a good amount. Thanks for getting me back into it ;-)

I love the 801.

I now have three Janty/Joye Sticks with 801s and have stopped using 510s completely. Previously they were my backups and got occasional use.

To me the 801 has better vapor production, better flavor, and easier draw vs. the 510.

And the cartridge capacity is wonderful. I use PTB. I refill about 15 drops on average. I.e. I use up 15 drops (3/4 ml) before I notice any reduction in vapor production.

I think they are also long lived. (Or maybe my first one was just very lucky.) Until I got two more I was using a single 801 atty for most of my vaping. I'd guess usage added up equivalent to about four months of solid use. That atty is still running perfectly.

I got a BE-112 yesterday and it is a beast. Tons of vapor, and a very smooth draw. I have a friend who was interested in vaping and when I showed him my 4081 it was not working well, gave him my penstyle today to use and he was sold. The atty is great and the carts hold enough juice for almost the whole day. I would recommend this model to just about anybody.

I enjoy my 801 almost as much as my 510. The problem with 801's is the carts can leak when you are refilling them. So I tend to use my 801 sparingly. They do produce a lot of vape and it is a much warmer vape than my 510 and this makes for much better TH, but I think my 510 produces a smoother vape, just the right amount of TH and the flavor is right on par with the 801. So for me it is a matter of the mood I am in.

I'm a dripper, so the leaky cart is not an issue for me. I don't have any 801 batts, only 510's and mods, but I haven't had any luck with standard batts. Think I may glue this thing to my PT though!
