Just had another traumatic scare. My wife and I both vape GGTS's with Ody's....... we've had our GGTS's since Dec 2011... Two months ago, we went to a local music gathering, got a lil fun, and ended the night at home with my wife drunk and saying she doesn't know where her GG is..... after contacting everyone we know.... Even our friends that don't vape know how important our GG's are.... three weeks later, she finds it behind the bed...... WOW!!!!!!! Last night, we chilled with some friends, had some fun, "CLICK" in my head...... where's my GG??????? Went home sick thinking it dropped off my lap at the gas station I stopped at.... what torture...... what dismay...... I lost my F*&&king GG at a gas station!!!!!!!! I truly shed a tear this morning..... I do have a back-up GGTS w Ody, but firing it up wasn't the same....... I went from #636 to now #4596...... my life is done I thought......

My friend just called giggling! They found my GG in their bean bag!!!!!!!! I LIVE AGAIN!!!!!!!! Like a god I arise to conquer the world again! I have my precious GG back!

The absolute worst feeling in the world is that "CLICK".... "where's my GG?" I hate it!!! Please someone make a GPS chip..... I'd pay the monthly costs...... Don't ever wanna really lose my GG.......... never... It truly becomes your most cherished possession...

Thats a really crazy situation Ros, I know exactly what you mean. I have already said a story about a party where I lost my GG but this is happening to me almost every time I go out of house. Suddenly and when I drive the car I think "where my GG is?" I am searching my bag and I cant find it because my mind is on driving too, so I cant search well. Then I feel a creep in my back, thinking that I left it at home! I usually stop the car and I search my bag. Its always there but I always feel that creep when I search for it!

I thought you were going to say the button. I love everything about my GG except the button. Hate may not be strong enough word for the spring in the button. LoL I am a tinkerer and it gives me something to fiddle with tho...a LOT!!

Glad you found it ..err them :)
The button is my favorite part of the GG. On my GGTB I lost in the fire the button kept coming loose and one day it fell apart and I lost the spring. I ended up putting a very light spring from a pen in it and it was amazing. Hardly any resistance and a very, very nice throw to boot. Plus it just feels so natural where it's at, much more so than a thumb or bottom button, IMHO.

its not exactly like this aal. I need too much time and too much money to make just 1 GG even for me. Its just impossible. If I loose it I am in the same bad situation as you!

Well, The wife and I both decided to put our original beloved #636 and #640 away in a clean safe environment. We opted to use #3705 and #4596 from here on. Don't wanna lose our original baby's. I do have to admit, I think I like the look of a well-used GG. #4596 is the same as my #636... Brass Bottom/ Brass Telescope/ Brass Connector/ Brass Air control ring/ Short mode Ody... The only difference is the amount of bling....... Over time.... I've grown to appreciate the patina of the brass, the small micro scratches on the SS.... It could be polished to look all shiny..... but it's just beautiful being a lil worn, and being mine.......

I have tried 3 different springs in mine and they all get stuck after a while and I have to take the button apart and reassemble it. I really need to track down a set of magnets for it and try them. I know many do not like the magnets but they can't be worse than my springs are.

I am ok with a hard or soft spring, I am not that sensitive to that part. it's just the spring getting caught on the pin threads and jamming up that drives me bananas.

I deal with it because I love everything else about my GG.

That's odd, mine never binds up. You do clean your button right, including all parts and inside button housing? You can fix this issue I'm sure Rat. I've got some magnets left cause I didn't care for them so pm me your address and I'll send what I have for you to try.

Crispy, yours are coming too my friend, I haven't forgot about you.:)

Yes, I clean it every time I take it apart, roughly every 2 weeks. I do appreciate the offer on the magnets. This hasn't discouraged me from using and loving my GG but would be nice to resolve.

Tha would be my luck eh? I suspected it might be just an issue with mine as I do not see other complaints on it here.

or maybe your button is faulty? Ok, when you screw the head with the pin, do you see any threads of the pin?

Imeo, I can not see any threads on the pin unless I completely remove the pin from the button assembly. I do not know what is getting jammed but it will work fine for a few days and then something inside the button itself gets stuck or jammed and the button does not pop back out like it normally does from the spring pushing on it from within. The only way to get it to work is to disassemble it and reinstall.
