Here are my first impressions of the Precise by SuperT

IT'S FREAKIN' AMAZING!!

Sorry, I promised a serious review, didn't I?

The Looks - It's GORGEOUS! It's a lovely 'brushed' steel looking finish and I got the one with the brass end caps. I also slapped a stainless LR atty on there with the wide gold band, and it matches up with it PERFECTLY.

I'd say that this is a mod even for the ladies out there. On the other hand, it's not FEMININE, guys look just as cool! It's got a definite James Bond look. :hubba:

I really like the fact that the atty screws DOWN into the body of it. You're obviously adding length to the body with atties and carts, but this mod doesn't make the atty LOOK like it's a separate entity altogether. It looks like a continuation of the original body. (Also helped along by the fact I'm using the stainless and gold atty, I'm sure! ;))

The Size - The width is VERY narrow, something I've been desperately looking for because I have very small hands. The button placement, (on the bottom), was a concern for me, as I already have another mod with it on the bottom and I've had nothing but problems trying to find a comfortable 'seat' for the PV in my hand when I was pressing it. :nah:

NOT a problem on the Precise. The button is VERY easy to press and I don't feel like it's going start 'squirming' out of my hand before I can muster up the necessary FORCE to hit the button. VERY little resistance to even MY pinky. :w00t:

Performance - the Precise takes a 10440 PROTECTED ONLY battery. With the LR atty, I'm finding that I'm getting around 1 hour worth of use with them. But, I'll time it with a regular atty as well. The button fires EACH AND EVERY TIME I HIT IT. No wiggle room, just a comfortable, easy push.

So, as of right now, I'm giving The Precise a 10 out of 10!!

You go girl glad you like it. I got the manly version coming (18650), after all I have bear paws ;) It was more for battery life than anything else in my case.

Are you sure your batt is a 10220 and not a 10440? I have never heard or seen a 10220. Is this something new? A 10220 batt makes it 10 x 22mm which is half the size of a 10440 or a 10 x 44mm. The batt life with an LR is good and falls within the realms of what is to be expected. But a word of caution here, I wouldn't be using a LR on it, the 10440 is not capable of handling that large of a current draw. I'm not trying to pee on your parade here, I know folks have been using LRs with the 10440, but it definitely is not something that is widely recommended. Just sayin...

Edit: How is it compared to the GG slim?

great review domino!

you might be the perfect person to ask since i've been debating between the GG Slim and the Precise. since i too have small hands (i'm only 5'1), i've been looking into smaller and thinner devices and these two seem to fit the bill. how would you compare them as far as practicality, comfort and size?

as far as what i can come up with, the only downside to both is the battery life for me. i'm a heavy vaper and i also like to use LR attys from time to time, so i would imagine that it would just drain the battery even more.

The battery life is the only downfall, really. But both units use the same battery..IMHO, the Precise is better suited for us 'little paws'. And, it's SHEXY!!

I get around 1-1.5 hours on the batteries and I have 4 of them, so it's pretty easy to switch them up. :)

I would totally get one of these if the battery would last as long as my eGo because the Precise is so damn sexy!!! I want one so badly but just do the short battery life.

Did you know that he is coming out with two new versions of the Precise? One for a 16340 battery, and the other for an 18650. The 18650 one should last about two days on a charge. :toast:

thanks so much domino! that definitely helps me out a lot as far as shortening my list.

i was going through so many reviews about different mods, and they all just looked HUGE to me. i mean it's true that pictures make it look bigger than it is IRL, and some people would try to reassure me of that, but they just didn't understand that when i say i have small hands - i'm talking about child-sized hands here! :D

i'm with you Bella - i LOVE the battery life (as well as everything else) of my eGo, but the only thing that bugs me about it is that it's not a true 3.7v.

Yup, my hands are about the size of a 10 year old! I just couldn't get the GG Slim to sit in MY hand comfortably, broke my heart, but, it is what it is! You'd love the Precise, me thinks!! :)

oh domino...you're making really want one now! how long did you have to wait from ordering to getting it in the mail?

the battery life is still a little bothersome to me, but i suppose i could just get a crap ton of batteries and a couple of charges. although after looking at the size of 16340 batts, it doesn't look so massive compared to 18650s. i don't know...i still like the size of 10440s. i'm almost tempted to get both! oh man, the BF would just LOVE that.

decisions decisions...:D

remember the battery name IS it's size... so a 10440 battery is 10mm in diameter 44mm in length and that last 0 just means cylindrical cell...
so 16340 is 16mm diameter and 34mm long
18650 is 18mm diameter and 65mm long

Super T devices...he keeps the device as small to the fit of the battery as possible... so the precise is 12mm in diameter... the super6 (which is temporarily unavailable) takes a 14500 battery (so 14mm X 50mm) is 17.25mm (because it also takes the wider CR2) in diameter and about 64mm long.. so I'd guess that the 16340 precise model would be about 18-19mm in diameter and failrly short
