Thats a good call Lisa :D
I believe Di has been working away on a manual that would be coming standard with future GG's ;)

Excellent!

Di / Iken, Just to let you know, I have a fair bit of technical authoring experience, so if you need any help or want any feedback - I'd be happy to.....

Oh hey what about if I use 2 CR123a that are 3.0v each so technically I can use the GIANT at 6volts too?? They're 1000mah a piece so thinking maybe like 10 hours of battery life.

Hi guys, Just a quick point,

Iken posted-GIANT Ex....7.4Volts..........2........CR123a........Three Section.

Oops,this should be Ex....3.6Volts..(7.2V)..2......CR123a........Three section.

It should also be made clear that the 123a can be found in 3.0v and 3.6v.

A 3.0v battery will meter test at 3.6v fresh off the charger, and a 3.6v battery will meter test at 4.2v fresh off the charger. It is very important not to put a 3.0v battery in a 3.6v charger as it will overcharge it to 4.2v and this is above safe range for the 3.0v battery.

3.0v- http://www.lighthound.com/3-Volt-RCR123a-Unprotected-Battery_p_30.html

3.6v- http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3204

3.7- protected- http://www.lighthound.com/AW-RCR123a-Protected-750-mAh-Battery_p_114.html

Some are labeled 3.6v and some are 3.7v, these are not different enough to matter. I'm sure this is how Iken got the 7.4v figure even though his link is to a 3.6v battery, lol.

you should also specify that both the 16340 3V and 3.6V(3.7V depends on the brand) come in protected (PCB) and unprotected forms
with the protected being 1~3 mm longer than the unprotected

there is also the 16340 LiFePO4 solution, these are a safer battery sinse the do not explode or catch fire,
http://www.all-battery.com/rcr123a30v750mahlifepo4rechargeablebattery.aspx
but i have not found any that have a PCB so you can still kill them by over charge/discharge
