My only question is about the atty comments... you got warmer vapor from an 801 over a 510??? I've never heard this, and it is opposite of my own experiences (with the BB and with every other device). Did you mean to say the 510 was warmer?
801's run the 'coolest' feeling vapor of all atomizers which is why I can't use them (well that, and the almost nonexistent throat hit), and now vape 510's exclusively.

The warmer vapor came from using the 801 at 6v. Also, the 801 I used is a SLB high bridge from HealthCabin. I like these over other 801s I have (DSE and other "I don't know"). Generally, I don't like the 801 at 3.7v, it tastes almost "wet". But my SLB attys are "different". They're the only 801 that I've liked so far.
I was surprised over the physical warmth of the vapor. I thought that because a 510 has a shorter barrel that the vapor would retain more heat. The 801 barrel is larger in diameter and considerably longer. It makes sense that the 801 would lose more heat... The volume of the 510 atty is 1/3 that of the 801.
The only thing I could think to explain it is an empty 510 cart might cause a venturi effect over an empty 801 mouthpiece just being a straight shot to your mouth. I don't know at this point.

I ordered the BB awhile ago to go with my SB....love altsmoke! Thanks for the great review and the excellent pics...makes me glad I ordered it. Love the SB and the fact that I can go a couple of days without worrying about the battery.

Great review. I wasn't aware that you could go 6v with this, which has officially sold me on it. Now to wait for them to be back in stock...
Question, with the 3.0 CR2's, those are not protected, right? So therefore, using at 6v could be a potentially dangerous thing since it doesn't have any protection circuit of any kind?
With overcharge/discharge yeah. Stick with protected cells IMHO; it's not a guarantee you won't have a disastrous failure, but at least it offers an added safety measure. Boggles my mind that some mods are only limited to unprotected cells.
Nice review and nice looking mod but $100 for this unit -- without atty, batts, or charger -- and the fact it does not have a master switch nor is it compatible with protected 3v batts makes this seem like a lot of $$ for what you get.
I used unprotected CR2s and a set of Duracell CR2 primaries for the testing. I'm probably going to get a few sets of LiFe cells; even though they are only 250-280 Mah, their chemistry is much safer.
Your review was very helpful in my quest to buy something above and beyond the pre-packaged offerings out there. I just received my BB today and am just as impressed with it as I was hoping to be. Thank you again for taking the time to write this up.
now...kick it up a notch with the awesome BB passthru....loving it, myself but glad you're enjoying the BB!
I'm very excited for my passthrough to arrive, nice to know someone else is just as satisfied with it as I plan on being.
Just wanted to post a follow up...
It's been almost two months since I received my BB. Still going strong, performing flawlessly.
I've managed to drop it about half a dozen times (doh!) and besides a few chips and some minor scratching of the surface; It's unfazed... Great little mod.

WTF? Do I just walk around with a juice bottle attached? It must look like a paint ball gun...
Now thats a good idea!! use the paint ball hopper as a juice bottle insert barrel and pull the trigger. 8-o
ps if any of you modders figure this one out i want to beta test
so the batteries for the bb are "unprotected" at 6 volts? isnt that dangerous? I have the big brother version, the SB at 3.7 volts with the Low Resistance atty, and that duplicated the 5v. can you get protected batteries for the bb?
The bb's are now being produced with a longer bottom that allows usage with protected 6v
Although, it is still not recommended to stack batteries and never use unprotected batteries.
Will this be as big as the SB.... If there will be a longer bottom on it for protected 6v?
