For those who like vaping the eGo with a cone, we know there is nothing out there that emulates the vape satisfaction a "coned eGo" provides. Although the eGos voltage is efficient IMO, at times I wish there was more available.
For some time I have been looking into making a VV mod but my soldering skills and failing eyesight are not up to par in such tiny confines of a "circuit board". The BeGo was inspired by Mamu and her pre-made switching regulator. Thank you Mamu for such a great find.
Based on Mamu's observations that the back of the case gets hot, I decided to mount my board away from the case. I epoxied a couple of 1/8 dowels to the bottom of the reg and this seems to alleviate most of the heat build up. I was vaping with the cover off last night waiting for the expoxy to dry in the two spare holes in the cover. The reg did not get hot to the touch, it seems that elevating the reg off the case worked. This morning with the cover on, the reg was getting warm. I may drill some holes in the cover for extra ventilation (in a pattern), as the box itself is pretty much air tight. This may add the needed ventilation in keeping the regulator cooler. I am not worried about getting liquid in the box itself, adding ventilation makes sense.
