Well I've seen some people mention this phenomenon in a few threads but there hasnot been any real chitchat about it so here we go.
Kanger subtank, mini and nano. Uber loud "POP" noise every once in a while while vaping. Specifically after not puffing on it for a while. Does anyone have any insight on what is causing it? I'm sure many of us are curious

Probably slightly flooded around the coil when not being used, but during use is another matter...something in your juice like water (condensation).? Try starting off with lower watts if you use a regulated PV and then increase your watts. I only see this in my rda's when freshly built and saturated with juice when I blast the juice with 25 watts=boom

I'm using a sigelei 30w mini and no matter what watt it is set too it pops after it sits a while. whenever my setup floods it nearly makes no sound . Which is how I usually know if it's flooded. That and getting a vapkakke

OCC coils or RBA? On RBAs it generally happens when the wick isn't fully touching the entire coil. If its the OCC head, just enjoy it

It's the occ. I haven't gotten around to screwing with the rba and wicking again lol

This ^^^. If my builds don't crackle and pop, I did something wrong. It will become quieter when the coil gets gunked up.

Something about my current Lemo build really pops extremely violently only on the very first fire after sitting for more than 12 hours, it's honestly shockingly loud and would startle someone sitting next to you for sure. The first time it happened I was inhaling on it and it was the strangest sensation followed quickly by some sharp coughing, now I fire it for a few seconds before the first pull of the day. Lesson learned!

I typically use dual twisted coils or dual zipper coils and I get little shotgun blasts out of my rda when its freshly firing...Ever tried twisted ribbon wire? I swear it sounds like a mini automatic rifle in there...

When I first heard about 'Vaping Bacon' and saw Cereal flavored juice (Rice Crispies) I knew you'd all be gettin' that Snap Crackle and Pop eventually...stands to reason

Just made a 'tidal wave' coil with 4 strands of 32 twisted and ribbon wire ad you should see that thing spew

Back in the HH-357 days Hanna came up with this simple fix.

Just stick the bridge from an old 510 atomizer up into the drip tip.

That's happening to my friend with hers as well. Its never happened to mine though. She hates it because she can't get it to quit.

Ever put liquid on a hot stove or in a fire...... Same thing happens on your HOT coil.

All it means is that your wick is wicking and your coil is coiling.
