Vapor Shark burning my coils

I've had my vapor shark for about a week, and every once in a while it will kick into a "supercharged" mode with violent popping of my coils giving my an extremely burnt hit. I've had plenty of juice in the tank, using anywhere from 1.2 to 1.9 ohm coils in Kayfuns, Russians, and a Kanger subtank mini. Using kanthol so not in temp protection mode. Also, I make sure to to press the power up button to indicate a new atty.

Any thoughts?

It sounds like a resistance issue. Check to make sure the resistance in your atomizer is steady and not shorting out. A jump in ohms can cause the type of thing you described.

Thanks Matty, I was wondering about that too. Have had shorting issues with my Kanger Subtank rebuildable head, although my Provari seems to work fine with it. Going to shelve the Kanger, though, the flavor just doesn't cut it against the Kayfun or Russian.
