My switch is so tiny I can barely see it and I'm scared to death it's going to break, my first box mod and it's so tiny. I also need to decorate it to give it some personality. I ordered my batteries way before this mod and I still don't have them yet so I haven't even gotten to try it out, pure torture. At least I can look at it and anticipate.

The switch is very strong. You wont break it.. You will love the BB..

So It has been pure torture reading for a month about how much I will love the BB from Doots ( who did a great review btw ) and every other owner ahead of me. Ken must be burning the midnight oil cuz he emailed me yesterday saying if he got home today it would be sent out today if not then def on monday. Just over 10 days and I was willing to wait the whole 3 weeks n more at a chance to have one of these lil monsters. I sold my V3 in anticipation of the arrival and have been using a ego for last 2 days, cant wait....

I received my BB on Tuesday last week, and I have a favorite now. So far I've been vaping a standard Joye 510 atty, along with a new standard 306 atty. This little unit really packs a punch, and VV allows me to find the sweet spot for each atty, and juice. Where I use to stay away from VG juice, I now find myself in VG vaping heaven; the BB allows you to quickly find the best voltage for flavor and throat hit. I anticipated the flavor part, but not the throat hit. Previously I vaped VG juices on 5 or 6 volt mods, and never could get decent TH out of the juice at those voltages. Now I find that right at about 4.4 volts, the VG is packing a nice little punch to it!

The unit's construction is outstanding. It is durable feeling in the hand, yet so small. With a 306 and drip tip, it completely disappears in my hand.. Perfect stealth vaping unit, yet blows plumes of vapor at the turn of a dial.

I sure am glad I ordered this unit. By far, a wise and worthy investment!

Good thing I got this coming, took my V3 to sell it to a friend at work and it got stolen, then the ego died. So how do I combat a run of horrible luck like that? I bought a phidies woodimus feedimus to ride shotgun with the big brother. Its gonna be a good week coming up. Happy Birthday to me hehe!! They just have to get here quick, I'm down to a dse901 right now

OMG Ken is a genius!!! Just got mine today, it's sturdy, has a great feel and hits awesome! Can't thank Ken enough for making my first mod purchase a total success.

One quick question to the pros, is there an advantage to turning it off between vaping or do most of you just leave it on?

I just got mine yesterday and had to finagle a bit with it since the batts I bought for it were all high drain (requiring spacers), but it is working good so far. I have made it a habit to turn both my Little Sister & Big Brother "off" when I'm done with them (especially when I have them in a case with a couple of my other PVs where I don't want them accidentally firing).

Thanks! Better to be safe than sorry I guess.

Now that the BB is being received and used by more people, can everyone please make comment on batery life? Include what type you are using (HD or normal), how much juice you typically go through, and if this is the sole PV being used throughout the day. (Light, medium, heavy vaper may be a little more subjective but if you aren't sure how much you go through then use that terminology)

I am curious if one set of batteries or two per day are needed to last the whole day. (Or if there are some of you who need a third charge cause you vape like a feind lol).

I imagine that 2 sets of batts rotating should work, any of you wish that you had a third set in rotation now that you've been using it for a bit?

Stats:

Medium vaper
Rotate at least 4-5 PVs (including a LS and now a BB, along with 2 Rivas and a vGo)

When I got the BB, I had also bought a couple sets of HD batts for it and my Little Sister. Right off the bat, running the LS with the high drains made a big difference in batt life. I.e., it appears that the HDs apparently help to boost the output (esp. at the lower voltages) and I expect that because of that, I haven't had to hold the button as long to get a good mouthful of vapor. I could maybe get ~ 4 hours (using the 5 PV rotation) with the 14440s and now I can go through the evening without a batt change on the LS. I expect that the HD 14500s on the BB are acting the same, although they are higher mah in general and would have lasted the day easily. In fact, I did actually rotate it in and out for the first 2 days and it still hadn't gone to 0 on the same set of HD batts.

YMMV, especially if you tend towards the higher end of the volt spectrum (I tend to vape between 4 - 5V on the VVs). Still, I think even using a BB solely, it should last most of the day doing heavy vaping.

I am a medium to heavy vaper, vaping at least 3ml's a day. This weekend I used the BB exclusivley, using standard Trustfire 14500's, and ranging the voltage between about 4.4 and 5.5. I got about 7 1/2 hours off of the first set of batts, then switched out for the evening. If you are a med to heavy vaper, I would always have an extra set handy, and I currenly have 7 sets of batteries in rotation. I tend to carry back up batts, and back ups for my backups (ya never know where ya might end up!). Hope that helps.

I originally tried the Tenergy 3.7 900 mah and they didn't work so I sent it back to see what was wrong with it. Nothing was wrong so Ken sent it back with magnetic spacers and they work with those. I decided to use the black and red TF 3.7 900 mah they are a bit bigger, but I can use them without spacers and they work great. I am a heavy vaper so I alternate the BB with a SDriver from TW, I use LR 306 on both and I really can't tell the difference on voltage with the BB, it seems to vape the same regardless where I set it. It vapes great BTW, lots and lots of vapor from such a tiny little mod. I put fresh batteries in, in the morning and alternating with both they last till the next day. As much as I vape I have to alternate so one can cool down. I drip so I have noticed I use more drips in the BB compared to my SD so I know it gets a lot hotter.

Jude,
I understand that if the batteries are in backwards then it will work at about 5.5-6v but not be adjustable. Try flippin' the batteries?

My batts are in correct following the diagram inside, but I flipped the batteries as you suggested to see what would happen and it didn't work at all. I'm perfectly happy with my BB, maybe it regulates, but I really can't tell the difference, it's all good.

Jude,

I have no practical experiense as my BB is still on order. My comment came from a video from Ken I saw on Youtube of one of the more common mistakes with the BB. There are the original markings for battery orientation stamped on the inside somewhere and if followed, will produce a higher fixed voltage. He said he put some color coded dots (or something like that) to show the correct battery orientation as his electrical layout uses a different battery placement than the box was designed for.

It may very well be that you have them in right, it's just odd that you don't notice a discernable difference between high and low. With the same "drag" comparing low setting to high setting, high setting should "choke" you.

Awesome that even though you don't see a difference that you love your BB! I can't wait for mine.

I'm a newb as I've only had mine for a few days, but I consider myself a medium to heavy vaper. I've been using it as my sole PV with KR808 carts and it lasts me about a day and a half, typically through 4 or 5 carts. I'll also mention again, I love this thing.

Runkmud, do you use the regular or high discharge batteries?
