If someone had the proper tools, you know, a CNC machine or something :pop: , the bases cold be made to extend down to be even with the positive pin, where it would seal against the BB positive contact silicone ring. Could be sold with three different air holes drilled into the side, 1.25, 1.5, and 2mm for adjustable airflow preference. Just saying :hubba:

I received my BB today! Like most things, you really can't fully appreciate this mod until you see it in person and hold it. This is seriously the coolest vaping device I've ever seen. If I wasn't such a dumbass and had ordered my batteries sooner, I'd be trying out a ce2 I found in my drawer right now. So until then I just fondle and admire it. I read your first post of this thread DD and you did a phenominal job of creating what you were looking for in a PV. Ingenious design and details so perfect it's unbelievable. The seam of the door is damn near invisible!! All stuff you've heard a thousand times before but I have to say it anyway. AND MADE IN USA!!!
So I send a HUGE thank you DD. For not only your desire and ability to create such a thing, but also to share it with the rest of us.
I look forward to a long and satisfying relationship with my Billet Box. Did I mention how COOL it is :toast:

For those interested in the carto insertion & removal tool we discussed a few pages back, here is a link to my build. It is so freakn easy to build till it is silly.

Also, props to Big Screen D for his awesome Condor RBA. Built mine today and pretty much decided my Diver is for spare parts for some future project. First off, it works way better and second is works way better and third it doesn't leak...haha. ;)

Hi, first post here and total BB novice..so be gentle!
I've been lucky enough to get a BB from the latest batch and I'm expecting delivery soon. Been reading through the thread with great interest!
I'm particularly interested in the work and mods you have been doing to the diver. With this in mind I've come across the Sophia Rba. Has anyone tried this in the BB?

Basically an update on the killer , gets great reviews and looks a real viable option for the BB.

Welcome dude! Congrats on getting your BB.

Interesting RBA and odd how nobody has mentioned that before (not that I have seen). I like that it is flangeless to begin with whereas you have to specify that with Diver. Also like the pin looks fixed in the base (which seems to be the Diver's leak weak point). I am guessing the forked cup holder is to make it easier to remove the ceramic cup which is a good idea too. So nice little changes to the design which differs from the Diver.

But, I still have to say if your at all handy with tools, the link above to the Condor RBA is still the way to go. No worries about pressurizing the tank while filling and flooding out the carto as the wick is always exposed verses the weep hole on the Diver. Which also guarantees no dry hits too. And the price for the homemade version - $13 for parts including shipping and using an old spent carto.

Anyway, enjoy the BB as I know you will. :vapor:

I just received mine from same vendor but will not return home until next week to try. But Sophia is longer than diver.

Thanks for the warm welcome Drunk_J !
Looked at the condor link and you are doing some fantastic work there. I will definately be checking back regularly for a production version!
Can't wait for the BB to arrive, been experimenting with Micro coil /cotton builds on the diver and seem to have eliminated all leaking issues....guess this could all change with the BB tank though!
Considering ordering the Sophia, although I'm not sure if be able to remove enough from the tube length for it to fit in the BB.. The tube has a inner funnel toward the top! I've emailed the manufacturer regarding the BB, to ask if he'd be able and interested in supplying a reduced size tube.
All the best with condor project! Exciting times!

Thanks, but all the work is attributed to Big Screen D! I just built his design which is awesome. Would be cool if someone would make/sell a couple of modded parts then all you do is drop in new coil/wick or build your own.

You can trim up those tubes on the Sophia (or Diver) pretty simple with a Dremel tool and a disc grinding bit for it. It does a great job as I had to shorten my Diver. Very cool you got the leaks stopped on the Diver.....do tell us how as there are plenty of us with that issue?

Thanks!
