Thanks, but circumstances of my life require delivery. The UPS guy knows me by name, and Amazon thinks I'm their controlling shareholder. Both versions are in my cart right now. I'll do an "Eeeny, meeny, miney, mo" at some point, then pull the trigger (so to speak).

Thanks EVERYONE, for the knowledge and support. It is GREATLY appreciated.

~dpl

All of my delivery folks know me by name as well...

FWIW, I took a tumbled aluminum Reo Mini to a pretty darned good polish with just an old terry cloth towel and this stuff.

OK, today was official klutz day for me. Not only did I drop my BB twice, I knocked it off into a sink of water. With lightening fast reflexes it was only in it for a microsecond. Ok, so that is total BS it was more like several seconds, but it seemed like I was in slow motion....nooooooooooooooooO! Grabbed it out, opened door, removed batteries and tank, then dried it good. Fired right up after I put it back together.....yaaaahhhhh! This is one tough ... mod! :):):)

I need help ! i killed my BB , any ideas on how to get one off the website ? I have been stalking it every day for about 3 months and cannot buy one :( Any pointers , i hate everything else i use :(

If you search for my posts in this thread, I've described how to use the Google Chrome Page Monitor add-in you can use to help with the stalking. It should be in the last 20 pages or so... Good luck!

Anyone know where to get a diver v2?

They are in stock at Atmistique right now. Big batch, too. Make sure you get a v1 brass pin, seems to work better for some in the BB. And catch up on the last few pages of the Diver thread, we're posting about any issues and solutions for the v2 Diver in the BB.

Im curious. How do you kill one so bad that Doug can't fix it? Are you near him? My guess is to run it over with a piece of mining equipment? Maybe an accident involving c4? Really have you asked the manufacturer if a repair is possible?:2cool:

Chrome Page Monitor: make sure to set every notification to the minimum ping time - I think it is 5 seconds. Set the general settings ping to 5 seconds as well. Then make sure audio warnings are on, I suggest the cuckoo sound, it is louder and more obnoxious than the chime.

make sure you are registered on the site with address already saved. Type your full name and CC number into a text file (use Notepad on a PC). Don't save the file, to avoid any security risk. You can copy/paste the name and CC number into the site when you go to pay, instead of typing it in. Then you only have to pick the expiration date and type in the CCV code.

I used this and bagged a BB within 90 seconds of it being posted as in stock.

You will still have to sit in front of your computer to act as soon as you get the warning that the site has been updated, but you avoid the F5 game completely.

FYI, hitting F5 repeatedly creates the same or more traffic for the site than this plugin, so this method will likely reduce the traffic to the site as well.

Alright thank you. Do i want the iatty style one or normal style?

Regular 35mm or Enezlis tube will both work, they are both 35mm length. I use the Enezlis, for the look only, and it lets a few more drops of juice squeeze into the tank. The interior on the two tubes is identical, they both have the iatty chimney for improved performance.

For BB, get 35mm or Enezlis tube, flangeless base, and v1 brass pin. I would also buy an extra v2 pin to have both, and give them both a shot. A lot of folks use the v2 pin just fine, those with issues switched to the v1 pin and resolved their issues that way. I use the v1 pin in my other v2 Diver in my Scuba, as I prefer the draw with it on my Paps Lux. Having one of each is wise IMO, even if you don't have issues with the v2 pin, good to have the choice to use the v1 pin for a less tight draw.

When you get it, check out the last few pages of the Diver thread, we have got the build for the BB nearly locked in there, and we can help if you experience any issues. I'm working on silica/Ekowool builds in the next few days, but cotton ball builds seem to be centereda round a 5/64" microcoil and the coil sitting only halfway into the cup (or the cup slots dremeled open a bit) so that enough cotton can be used to make sure the external slots of the v2 are filled without being choked off.

I just got my BilletBox 2 hours ago... and for the last 2 hours, I've been sitting here like a stump, trying to figure out what to say...

I had never seen a BilletBox in person before. What I wanted, and thought I was getting, was a very functional and practical and TOUGH mod. Something that I could basically keep on my porch or throw in my purse, and not worry about knocking parts off, breaking an atomizer screw, having something else in my purse accidentally squeezing the button, etc.

Well, this wasn't what I expected at all! This is a work of Art. An Engineering marvel. I feel like I'm holding something built for/commissioned by Jules Verne. I'm scared to use it. I don't want to get it dirty. I am soooo careless about my things as a rule, and I don't buy wraps or covers for my PV. They get tosses in my purse, and if they get scratched, oh well. For the first time, I actually gave thought to how to keep something pristine. I wrapped the Aluminum edges in scotch tape (which happens to be exactly the right width), so they wouldn't get marred. Maybe tomorrow, I'll feel silly and peel my tape off, but today... I am simply gobsmacked, and gleeful that I have this amazing thing in my hands.

I did not get batteries yet... for some reason, I thought this would take ordinary 18350 batteries, and I didn't carefully read what I would need. I can't use it yet... but I'm not even sure I want to. I feel like I should put it in a case to admire. I just ordered the recommended AW 16340 batteries from RTD, and put in a carto and tried various drip tips for decoration, the way I'd change clothes on a doll. The BilletBox is STUNNING.

I get it. I really get it now. I understand why after getting this, people would start unloading every mod they have. I have no idea how it performs over time, and I'm not even sure I care; the thought and love that went into the design of this astounds me. From the functionality to the writing imprinted in the metal in the inside cover. This is Gestalt. I also understand why this hasn't been mass produced, and is sold in such limited quantities. Photos cannot convey how beautiful and elegant this thing is.

There is only 1 more mod that even has a hope of comparing to this, only because of customization. You have raised the standards bar impossibly high for everyone else. If ecig mods have any longevity, 100 years from now, people will still be trying to get their hands on one of these, even when we have moved beyond batteries and cartomizer delivery systems, as a 'classic'. And the design strikes me as so quintessentially American, it should be admired like Frank Lloyd Wright architecture. When I see something that actually moves me... moments I get when I stand in a museum like the Met, the little hairs in the back of my neck rise. Well, they haven't laid down for the last 2 hours. I would never sell my BilletBox, and you are a genius.

glassgal~ Instead of wrapping the Aluminum edges in scotch tape which may still tear and overtime time that glue may get icky and become difficult to remove. I suggest you treat your new work of art to a Billet Box Clear J-Wrap. If you're going to cover it... do it right

That first drop test is a killer  but BB's are tough. Don't drop the door ever! It always lands on a corner and that means the file has to come out. After a good cleaning and lube job on the ball it's possible to flick the door halfway across the kitchen.

Have not dropped it in the sink yet, but diving season is coming.:glug:
