Thanks! I'm going to just admire it til the batteries get here. I suspect it does... the design is so intuitive (NO nails or screws in the whole unit. That's novel and amazing in itself), I expect nothing less:).

I'm not sure what I'm going to do for a cover just yet... I don't like clear protectors on my cell phones either. Admittedly, the tape looks crappy. But, I don't feel bad tossing it. I'd feel bad tossing a $14 Jwrap the next day if I didn't like it.

Good morning from Oregon.
I was just up on the BB website and read the Jan 23rd update.
In the last sentence it says to watch for the next batch the beginning of Nov. wondering if that was a mistype.

I expect it was (a mistake). If not though, crank up the DeLorean!

So idk if I'm the first or not but I have made an rba with juice control fit the bb. It's a Sophia clone and I had to alter a brass ring and grind the flange off the rba but it's working wonders right now. Yes it sticks out the top but how else would I rotate for the rba for better juice control. I however don't use a drip tip just use the extenders part as such. Anyways thought I would share:)

. I used round file in the brass ring because I wanted no loss of conduction but still wanted to be able to turn the juice control and I have succeeded. So far one of my fav vapes!

Dang, been busy-gone for a while. Too much on the plate, but still vaping, so there's that.

Finally got the workshop to the point of being project ready so had to start some woodwork. Stupid simple thing, three-piece slat headboard with some shelves, but ... 86 pieces, from cheap wood, so 24 operations apiece just to get 'em ready to screw together. Been time-consuming, but Woody's been my companion the whole time. :)

And oh yea, each piece has to be squared up and spaced out over 46 inches, so even simple drill & screw is time consuming.

Anywho ... it's the only way to get Mrs. Vapian the headboard she wants since Ikea discontinued MANDALA. Happy wife, etc. :)

Other than that things are pretty mellow. About the only cool thing that's happened is I won a cruise at work, so ... guess the BB's will get some travel time a little later.

Hope everyone's having a great year so far!

OK, so not trying to be lazy here, but only have a few minutes, so the pics are at the link. Anyway, the case didn't exactly turn out as I had hoped. Leather work is great, but it is slightly too thick. But the biggest problem is that you cannot remove the BB from the case one handed except by grabbing the drip tip, which isn't cool. The intent from the manu is the finger hole at the bottom. But even with my large hands, the case is too big for that to work. Anyway, I am sending the case back to the drawing board, but thought I would ask for any realistic ideas here. My suggestions to him was either to slot the sides or make the case shorter (and possibly make a full width cover flap across the top). Here is link and suggestions welcome (post or PM...doesn't matter to me).

OK, I'll throw some ideas out to you, based on nearly 20 years of experience with cell phone cases and holsters.

1. Put in two semi-circular or rectangular cutouts, one on each side, right where the strap passes over the top. These should be wide enough so a fingertip (thumb) can easily pass through the cutout. Thus, when you unbuckle the strap, you can use thumb and index fingers to grab the top of the BB where the cutouts expose it, and pull it out. The strap should pass over the cutouts, so it covers the small piece of the BB that is left exposed by the cutouts, and because...

3. The case should not be form-fitting to the BB. Only the bottom 0.5 inches of the interior of the case need to grab on tight to the BB. The rest of the case should leave a tiny gap. This reduces the friction when you are removing it, making it much easier to remove with thumb and index fingers. With the changes from #1 above, the strap, which now passes through the new cutouts and actually wraps over the top of the BB, should hold the top of the BB in place so it doesn't wobble around when inserted and secured by the strap.

Like the idea of side slots but the strap should stay like it is for those who like longer drip tips. If it came across the top side to side it would limit the drip tip length.

:):vapor:

ETA: Misread what you where saying, I had same thought but with the cutouts on the sides, easier to grab as belt would not interfere with your thumb.

I am with you up to here, but not sure I follow about the strap passing through the cutouts? Are you talking changing the strap to go from side to side instead of back to front? If so, seems like there would be too many variable with so many drip tips.

Agree with you on the drip tip and did mention to him about a full width flap from back to front, in which some people would need an option to have a hole punch or a portion of the flat cut out.

Is the purpose of the case to protect the BB or to carry it? Seems to me the easiest way for carrying would be simply to come up to the base of the button with the leather, then the strap goes across just the way it does now, leaving the entire top 2/3 exposed, but secured by the strap.

If you want to get fancy, do an X strap that leaves a hole the size of the BRASS CONNECTOR under the drip tip (so it accomodates all diameter drip tips). Think Jean Paul Gaultier strapping (for those who don't know him, Madonna black cone bra from 80s).

Just make the whole case leather straps. One under the button horizontally around entire case. 2 straps vertically connecting the horizontal strap sewn down, then 2 X straps across the top, with snap button on one side. Would look best if one of the vertical straps was the same one for both top and bottom, but sewed down at bottom, and snapped at the top. S & M is always hot, and with 50 Shades of Grey movie coming out, it will get even hotter. Make that:).
