Hey all. Finally able to reply to this great thread. Can't wait for the official launch/ purchase of the billet box!!!!

Thanks to everyone for the feedback and reviews so far. Just a couple questions for those of you playing with your bb's....

1. How do the boge 510 compare to ikenvape platinum 510..... life span and flavor

2. Throat hit is not important to me so much.... I prefer lots of flavor and a nice smooth hit.... does the billet box allow for this with some tweaking of the right voltage and carto?

3. I like 100% vg. Its thick sometimes...... I have read that a 3-5% dilution with distilled water can make it perform like a 50/50 mix.....

I'm usually an rba/bottom feed guy.... haven't done carto/tank yet and just want to make sure that this will work for me!

Thanks everyone... have a splendid day.

ive tried a dremel myself to cut slots but they hammer on my tank seals when i slid them in...

Oh yeah, about that. :) What I didn't mention are two other things I do when or along with cutting slots:

1. I cut my slots at a slight angle, sort of like a screw thread (slightly higher on the right side as you're looking at the slot); and
2. Use a small pen-style diamond file to smooth the edges of the slots - just lay it over the slot and rotate the carto back and forth a couple of times to de-burr.

Rotary tool is cordless and this stuff sits out-of-the-way in a storage bin until needed.

Process leaves a smooth-edged slightly angled slot that doesn't hang on the bottom o-ring, and on the way out just give the carto a little twist and the upper o-ring actually helps get it out more easily.

Wonderful thing about punching/slotting is there are so many ways to do it, everyone's bound to find a way that's easy enough and works for them.

That, I can't say - haven't had a chance to pick up any IKV cartos yet. But I can say that the Boges work quite well.

2. Throat hit is not important to me so much.... I prefer lots of flavor and a nice smooth hit.... does the billet box allow for this with some tweaking of the right voltage and carto?

Like any other device - yes, when used properly. Which is generally quite easy as many will attest to, though (like any other device) it's possible punch/slot too little/too much, burn a 2.0 ohm carto with too high a voltage, etc. I find the smoothest vape for me is with 3.0 ohm Boges, but the 2.0 ohm Boges work quite well with the voltage dialed down a bit. Worst case, it may take a couple of tanks/cartos before you find the right combo for you.

3. I like 100% vg. Its thick sometimes...... I have read that a 3-5% dilution with distilled water can make it perform like a 50/50 mix.....

That's one of those personal tweak things. Usually I use 70/30 or 80/20 PG/VG with no real change in setup but do use 50/50 or 40/60 PG/VG sometimes with a slightly larger slot. I have thinned pure VG up to 20% before but only for strong flavors that stand up to being cut. As for punching, my personal experience is that with thicker liquids more holes doesn't seem to help near as much as larger holes, but as always YMMV.

I'm usually an rba/bottom feed guy.... haven't done carto/tank yet and just want to make sure that this will work for me!

Pretty sure we have at least one RBA "convert" (at least for mobile use) in the mix, hopefully they will chime in and let you know what they think.

Good luck on your decision-making!

Hey thanks for the reply.

I was also thinking the 3 ohm Boges would be best as well. I don't need a warmer vape like the 2 ohms..... but 3 would allow me to go warmer with more voltage and still get a cooler flavorful vape with less.

I should have mentioned that I will only be vaping fruit/sweet flavored juice.... I don't need the hotter vape that most recommend for the tobacco flavors.

I have found a few places selling 3 ohm Boges with a single laser cut hole @ 2.5 mm. I have found the same one with 2 holes @ 1mm. What would be best for a 100% vg juice?

I have no problems punching/slotting them myself.....gives me a reason to but out the goggles and dremel..... but having it already done at the factory.....saving my time for other awesome things....like movies and vaping.... would be better!

Not sure if you are referencing to me :) but I am a total RBA guy. All my mods are RBA Hybrids except for my Provaris which I top with RBA attomizers(oh and my WA, which I also use a RBA atomizer on LOL) But I now have a BB, and I love it. I have only used it for a day now, but it is going to be my go to device for any type of work, or even for my out and about time. RBAs always have the problem of needing to be up right or they leak(Except my S-Dog which despite my best efforts seems to not leak at all) The BB does not have this problem at all, and is built like a brick S@#! House. All the things you read of the BB doubling as a hammer are true. It is so solid I have no worries about any drop or fall, and would venture as to say it could probably get run over and still function. And because it just looks so damn fancy and sleek I have even found myself just staring at it LOL! It is an awesome rugged mod, and a work of art at the same time.

The only caveat I have found is that flavor is much weaker than my RBAs(Remember though taste is subjective, and does depend on the juice to a degree). Vapor is there(and in massive clouds) but flavor is not the same. I have been using the standard ohm Boges, but am gonna try using a LR Boge and push it to the limit of of its tolerance(Like 4.5-4.6 volts) hoping to get the better flavor out of it. I also have never used the IKV cartos before so as soon as I can I am gonna give those a shot.

But flavor decrease not withstanding I love my BB. One of the absolute best devices I have ever used. And I am in the process of attempting to mod a tank to use a CE2 style atomizer. I personally don't like vaping silica but am hoping to get better flavor out of my BB with a CE2.

Hope this little bit of info helps. Oh and here is another pic of my BB. Call it my Bullet Box, cause of the drip tip, and the fact that I wouldn't doubt this thing would stop a bullet

I am running a 2.5 ikenvape at 4 volts and it is all the throat hit I want. But I was intubated for surgery on the 19th and my throat and lungs are still a bit tender. I was stealth vaping on a E-Zip in recovery...lol.

Yah....I would agree that a 3 ohm boge at 4.25-4.5 volts.... coming in around 5.5-6.5 Watts might be perfect for me. Seems like this would give a nice smooth hit and allow for lots of flavor.

Anyone else running thicker 100 vg in the bb's? Or just carto choices and how your experiences with different hole sizes have gone...... lol..... should have retyped that.... but I didn't.

Not to change the subject ... But I will for just a second! Where can I get the black AW ICR123 16340 750 mah batts like came in the BB kit. Super T has been outta stock for awhile now. I'd like to get one more set to keep charged up (not that I REALLY need another set), but ya never know ... just in case! ;-) Thanks! And back to your regularly scheduled carto discussion ... :D

Okie Dokie ... I found them RTD Vapor $5.99 each!
