There's a good chance mine is going on a shelf until there's an RBA solution.

I really, really dislike the tank design. There's no way I'd ever use the 'convenient' filling valve because there's no way I could ever run out of juice before the nasty taste made me vomit. There's no easy way to remove the juice to replace the carto. That's the big problem, because I'm on my 3rd carto in less than 3 days and when it gets funk I seriously can't bear to take another drag. I've spilled and wasted more juice in 3 days than in the past 2 years.

I'm going to keep at it a few more days, but I'm already looking at it differently because when I see it all I can think is, "do I need nicotine bad enough to deal with that filthy taste."

Hmmmm ... Well this sounds like a huge carto dislike (maybe even juice dislike IN a carto) ... Not really a BB issue. Obviously you are a RBA person ... The BB is definitely made with a carto tank person in mind. If you don't like/use cartos or carto tanks ... well then ummmmm that IS what the BB is all about, right?

RBA's are not my thing. I don't buy them because I KNOW I'd HATE the tinkering involved. Actually, I was not a carto tank user either ... Until about two weeks before my BB arrival (needed to practice ya know). I DID however use cartos! Some peeps really like the taste of their juice in a carto ... Others dislike it VERY much! I like BOTH cartos and my favorite non-rebuildable atty. The ONLY way I'd frustrate myself with an RBA is if Mr. DD comes out with one that fits the BB ... Or if another is found that I don't have to shave exactly 2mm's off the tank to make it fit. That's just ME ... I don't like to "tinker" ... Others LOVE it!

The BB tank ... I really, really LIKE! If I need to remove juice, I simply insert the plastic needle point into the fill hole ... Turn the tank up ... And suck the juice out! EASY! Also it's super quick & easy to fill the BB tank using the syringe. BUT if I was changing cartos 3 times in 3 days because I didn't like the "carto" taste ... I can see how that would be a frustrating experience.

So obviously at this point (until a RBA fits in the BB) it IS a carto lovers device. Seeeeeee ... I'd like there to be an atty solution for the BB tank ... That I DO NOT have to rebuild ... Because I dislike tinkering ... And especially dislike little tiny tinkering! (Old eyes here! LOL!) Bleeeekk!! Different strokes for different folks! Just seems sad to think about your BB sitting on a shelf when sooooooooo many would LOVE to have one ... And loves carto tanks. Sorry to hear you're not liking the carto tank experience. You didn't mention what pg/vg ratio you are using or what type carto. I use SR Pre-punched (2 holes) Boge's & 65/35 juice. Works PERFECTLY in my BB ... But I like cartos! :D

I am assuming they are a bottom coil design from the pictures

Thats what I was thinking. I used to slot my CE2's down around the same level (not quite sure why I did that) but the reservoir on the inside would fill, then I'd have to tilt it upside down to get juice up to the top. I hope these aren't that way though

I don't think you're going to brake anything :)

But I always count so that I can get the same hole size, or as close as possible, every time.

Hah I hope not. I'm not quite sure how big of a hole I should be punching. I punch it to the point that screwing in the punch screw gets a little tough, then the holes are just big enough to see filler on the inside.

I am going to try something a bit different, think disposable Diver atomizer. The Raven from Got Vapes is a fillerless tank carto. Yes they are a flanged XL but I don't think the flange will be an issue and the length can be cured easy enough in the drill press. I have some coming, will be an interesting experiment...

GotVapes PHOENiX Raven™ Tank 510 REPLACEMENT CARTO 2.4-2.6ohm [gv-PhoenixRaven-RepCarto-2.4-2.6] - $2.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

Great! There's another $12 on my spending spreadsheet.... Ordered 3 since I have all UDTC tanks and can use them on those as well. How do you cut them in the drill press?

OK ... Not that I know ANYTHING about a RBA ... But somebody posted the following on one of the "Diver" discussion threads ....

"Just watched a video on the diver... You could actually make that yourself with less than $10 dollars worth of parts.

A 510 to 808 adapter for the base.
A 808 carto for the body.
A 510 atomizer for the ceramic cup and center post.

Would be an easy build..."

Soooooooooo ... Would THIS work for BB tank? Or would this work at all?? And if it WILL work ... I need somebody to build for ME! Haha!! I DON'T/CAN'T TINKER!!! ;-)

End mill bit works well...so would 1/2 inch bit, sand to finish

piece of cotton ball inside to catch shavings

To the person having bad taste from their carto.

If you peruse the Cartomizer subforum here, you'd learn that sometimes, cartos are bad. I have a pack of "bad" cartos from Boge, but then all the others are fine. Essentially there's a nasty taste imparted on the juice. If I put the same juice in a different carto not from that pack, it tastes fine.

Maybe try cartos from a different pack before you swear it off completely. :)

I suspect there are still BogeGate cartos in dealers supplies out there.

There definitely are... Sometimes they are mixed in with "good" cartos, it's evident almost immediately when you have one... So I just railroad in a new carto.... No juice lost other than what's in the carto itself.
