I've been using my Buzz for awhile now with the 901-808 adapter and cartomizers and I love the thing. This has to be my favorite PV ever - the only feature I prefer that the buzz doesn't have is small size - the buzz is not any bigger than any other mod that takes two CR123's but I just wish I could have something with this kind of power that was more pocketable. Since that is, for now at least, a pipe dream, the Buzz is by far my favorite PV so far.

As far as adjusting the voltage, sure you'd need a meter to know exactly what voltage was being produced, but you really don't need one to use the Buzz. Too much vapor in too short a time, or too hot and burning flavor? Tune it down. Too little vapor? Tune it up. It is easy to find the right spot without putting a number to the voltage.

I'll be buying another one for a back up and probably won't be looking too closely at other mods for a long long time.

Glad to hear you bought a Buzz. I don't have a problem with putting in my pockets because I usually wear cargo jeans or cargo shorts. I thought about picking up a flashlight holster that clips on my belt for the times I'm not wearing something with large pockets.

I take it that you don't like adapters.

Does anybody like adapters? Why would anybody like to carry an extra item that can be lost and also add 1/4 inch to the bulk of a PV?

IMHO this is big marketing flop. From the description it looks great, but why target the HV PV only for the 901 or 801?? When they could also target to another huge market like the KR808/cartomizer users.

The threads and size of the connectors of the 901 and KR808 are the same. Except for a space/hole added for airflow. The Prodigy V2 with a 901 adapter can work for both devices.

Well, I'm use to adapters because I switch attys types from time to time. If you change attys types you have no choice but to use an adapter, so to me it's not a big deal.

The Buzz is new and I imagine he'll add a connection that works for both 901 and 808. Just like he said today that he's adding a 510 connection option in a few weeks.

I'm a bit freaked because I would prefer not to use an adapter (although I suppose the power loss in this case won't matter because of the variable voltage), but I'll use an adapter if I have to, but now that I hear that there could be a 510 device coming, I'm like, oh no. I guess it's probably too late to postpone my order (placed Saturday after getting "the look" but doing it anyway), but I guess eventually selling it and getting a 510 won't kill me. :)

Yeah I knew 510 was coming when I ordered mine but I didn't want to wait. My VP2 crapped out and I was using my backup eGo. I was use to 3.7 volts and the 3.1 eGo just wasn't cutting it. Plus I use 801 from time to time so I went ahead and ordered a 801 Buzz.

Adapters do have a couple of benefits and really very few downsides. I guess you are adding a 1/4" or so to the overall length of your PV - but it really isn't much extra, particularly on a full size battery mod.

For one thing, it protects the threads on your device. You'll notice that most PV warranties exclude the threads - they aren't warrantied because you can abuse them and wear them out. With an adapter, it pretty much stays on the device and you are changing out atties on the adapter - wearing on the $2 adapter threads instead of the device connection threads.

Also, they are a layer of protection protecting the device from juice if you overfill. Usually, if I overfill I know quickly because of the "slurpy draw" effect. And, usually, only a drop or so has leaked out the battery end so the mess is on the atty and the adapter, not on the PV. That might not be a big deal since most devices are sealed, but it keeps my PV clean.

I thought of those advantages too. The 1/4" is really nothing when you're talking about a big battery mod. If a big battery mod doesn't bother you then a extra 1/4" shouldn't bother you.
I also agree that I would rather wear out the threads on a adapter then the threads on mod connection.

Has anyone had any issues or concerns surrounding the '95% sealed' factor? I use 510 cartos almost 99% of the time, and in order to keep them wet enough to work well at my 'sweet spot' - about 5.5 volts - I have to make sure they're always topped off. As such, after almost every fill almost a full drop goes down into the Buzz's adapter / screw area. So, I end up disconnecting everything compulsively to remove the over-spill like 10 times a day.

BuzzKill gave me some basic instructions on how to remove the top cap and screw to seal the unit myself with silicone, but so far I've been far too hesitant to perform the surgery with confidence. I just don't want to screw it up and have to send it back, especially since I'm still in the 'lust' phase with it.

So, here's my question: does anyone else have major leakage (fellow 510 carto users?), and if so, do you leave it there and roll with it, or clean it up endlessly like I do?

I'd also like to know if any of you have performed the 'silicone seal' procedure on your own units...

Thanks!

Get a 901 to 808 adapter, a 901 to 510 adapter, a 510 to 901 adapter, and etc, then use them all in series and your juice will never make it down to the screw!

Does your Buzz have a 801 or 901 connection? At WordUpEcig they have a sealed 801 to 510 adapter. It's longer than most adapters but no juice will reach your Buzz.

All Atomizer To Battery Adapters

If you have a 901 connection you might be able to find a adapter like that at another shop.

I have a 901, unfortunately, but I hadn't heard of 'sealed' adapters until your post. Interesting. ;-)
