Except I'm not getting paid, so maybe not professional. Seriously though, I've been known to lurk my own facebook page.

Really wanted to say 'Hi' and thank everyone for all the advice found throughout this forum. It has quickly become my go to source for issues, questions and the occasional laugh.

A little bout myself (maybe a lot, who knows). I smoked for 30 years (actually 29 yrs, 9mos, but who's counting). About a p.a.d. or so. In all of that time I managed to go about 6 days without a smoke. That's it. My last smoke was 9/30, so in just a few days I'll hit the 6 mo. mark. All thanks to vaping!

My first experience was a cig-like back in '09, but I couldn't get the hang of it without coughing up a lung. Even when I avoided the cough, it didn't satisfy the craving for a smoke. Last year I decided to give it another go, so went to a different brand, a V2 cig-like. Not much better as far as the coughing, but decided to change how I used it. Figured maybe chain-vaping would help the cravings if I could keep from losing the afore mentioned lung.

It did help, a little. But then, V2 came out with their own e-juice and refillables and that changed everything. The idea of buying e-juice & refilling got me searching the web for other e-juice. That's when I found all the hardware available to go with those new e-juices. :D

I jumped right into diy juice and got the Aspire kit with the nautilus mini. Huge, night/day, difference. I've experimented with a few different hardware setups along the way, all while staying off the analogs. I finally jumped into rebuilding in the last month, thanks to super-x's how-to video for noobs. I have to say, I really think that video ought to come with a warning (as I vape on my 3wk old REO).

I'm in a great place with a setup that works for me. Honestly, I never thought I would find a way to quit smoking, having unsuccessfully tried most of the 'approved' methods. Thanks all!

Hello Boop and WELCOME to the community!!

And a big whoop whoop on the quitting analogs!!! Your story really reminds me of my smoking days. In 20+ years of smoking I only attempted to quit 1 time, and it didn't go so well. After that, the thought of quitting literally scared the crap out of me. But, thanks to ecigs and really great vendors and support, I was able to quit cold turkey about 4 months ago. I still amazed at how easy it was for me. It almost felt like I was cheating somehow- that I should have to go through some sort of suffering for having smoked for so long. If that makes any sense.

Anyways, congrats on making the decision to give it up. And welcome to the forum. Many great people here to offer any kind of support you may need. You're in a good place now. :)

Welcome.

Anybody that has left V2 gets a 10/10 rating from me.

:)

Thanks for the welcome. About a month ago I gave my sister some of the V2 liquid I had left. I forgot how harsh that stuff was. Lets just say that didn't work out. I've since given her some of my ADV in different strengths to try. Still working on her.

Hello and welcome to the forum Boop. Glad to have you here!:)

When you get a chance come on over to the Reosmods Forum and meet some of your Reo family members (including Russ).:) Lots of very friendly and helpful members there.

I too am a Reo owner. I have 4 Woodies and a LP Reo Grand.

Thanks for the welcome. You know I've done my share of lurking over there, too.

I m happy for you Boop,i was a pack a day smoker for 20 years and i switched since february.i m happy with the obvious results of better health.
I m not so sure about inhaling metal and fiber particles from the coils, but how much worse can it be if u compare it to 4000 cancerogenous chemicals
Of a *quote stephen king* coffin nail.
The setup that helped me quit was an istick20 with a nautilus mini and i m still using it cause i love the flavour.
Now i m starting to get interested in dual parallel box mods for more hassle free battery life.
I ll have to search in the forum for mods and diy because i dont like the prices of bm stores...25$ for 30ml liquid makes it unacceptably expensive.
