Checkout the xl nimbus clone from bevapehappy.com easy to build, good price, awesome quality for a clone. Also I suggest checking out rip tripper on youtube. if your going to build coils. He has very details videos for very good builds.

I'll second the Nimbus clone. I bought mine from a local shop. Went in looking for a RDA to compliment my genesis style attys, and the guy working there (VERY knowledgeable!) recommended it to me over some of the others that cost more. He would point out which ones needed the air holes bored out and so on...this one, I could build right out of the box. I also noticed, this is the same atty he had on his mod. Can take dual coils, but a single works equally well (I run a single in mine). Definitely easier to build on than most of my genesis style attys. not very expensive either
I will say, though, with just about any of these devices, tear it down as best you can, wash it in hot water and dawn dish soap rinse well. Soak it in alcohol, ultrasonic clean it, dry it out good and so on. Get one taste of the machining oils and you will understand why I said that.
I started with 32awg kanthal, but it was a little too thin (would get sheare off in post hole if I over tightened). I found 30 awg to be perfect for me...I don't sub-ohm. With the batteries you are putting this on (and yes, your ProVari when you get one), those wire gauges will give you some nice coils in the 1.5-2.5ohm range (although you can make them whatever you want), the 30, though is much easier to work with, and will hold up better to changing wicks. Plus you can still wind them with enough wire, that you could do dual coils and still keep resistance high enough to keep the regulated mods happy.
As for wick, get some silica/ekowool, some 100% cotton yarn! stainless mesh and organic cotton balls. Play with them all, see what works best for you. The boiled cotton yarn works OK, but seems a bit too densely packed, and will dry out and burn for me every time. I've been having my best luck with the organic cotton balls...just remember, less is more!
