I'm having an odd issue: my drip protected battery is now requiring more force to activate. When it was new it only required a slow, easy draw, but now I have to inhale hard and fast or draw hard in the mouth to get any action. There's a twist - it's only the echo cartos and some are more responsive than others. My CE2s still draw easy. Is this a sign that my echo atomizers are going out? None of them have been used more than one refill.

The one requiring the hardest draw is filled with Boba's Bounty (not thinned). The first filling of BB worked awesome, but after the refill I'm getting mega difficulty getting the battery to fire.

I can't get anything higher than 40% to vape well in any big cartos. A scrub of all contacts with isopropyl has always improved airflow but BB is super thick. Not much you can do in an already filled carto but I saw someone mentioning they thin theirs with rum instead of vodka. Thought to myself it may be a little sugary for long term carto use but it probably is a good thinner for that particular flavor.

So, finally ready to order my Echo. Only issue i have now is juice. As i am new vapor i realize it will be a while till i find my favs but i need a few pointers to get started. Mainly on what percentages work best with the echo cartos. I have no reactions to pg but would love some vg in the mix to increase vapor. Also, any idea on a supplier that has smaller cartos for the echo in stock? (i would hate to fill up a 3ml with something awful.)

Thanks for any input!..again.

PS (i have concluded from reading past posts that the DC vs single coil debate ended up in not much difference..does this still stand?)

Hi startlife - two weeks new here too.

75-25 or 80-20 are the ratios I was advised.

I've gotten great juice from Vermillion River (Carmelized Capuccino and Minnesota Menthol) and Backwoods Brew (husband likes Smoke). Still testing juice from Joogler Juice, Elite Vaporworks and the Vapor Room, though I love VR's Hot Cinnamon Candy already. Just ordered a couple from Highbrow because of the rave reviews there.

Got empty 808 cartos from Elite Vaporworks and Mountainvapors. Elite's were around $8 for a pack of five, including multicolored end caps, which are now essential for me, with all the juice I've ordered.

Consider atomizers if you will test a bunch and don't even want to fill a carto. I'm just starting that today; others have steered me toward it.

Don't know much about the DC/single coil debate. I think I skipped over that with my hands over my ears, er, eyes.

OK, I think I've got everything hardware-wise I could possibly need for the next month. And juice-wise as well. Now, is there a car charger for the Echo? We're planning a road trip to Yellowstone this summer and one (or two) car chargers will be essential....
You won't need a special one for the echo. Any 5v 500 mah cig lighter usb pwr supply will work with the echo usb charger.
That is a nice trip to Yellowstone. I made the trip to the three National Parks a couple of years ago. Started at the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and then to Glacier. Yellowstone has lots of animals and the Geysers but I found Glacier to be the most beautiful especially East Glacier.

Yeah, we love Montana - this will be my fifth trip in 15 years. Almost every time, we drive across country from PA via the Badlands and come in to Yellowstone on the Beartooth.

Three times we've then headed north out of Yellowstone up Route 89 to Glacier, then even farther to Banff and Jasper. That route is the best road trip in America, bar none.

But we're sticking to Yellowstone this time b/c my kids are too young to really appreciate Glacier.

Really, any cig lighter charger will do? After all the chatter about not using a charger above 150 watts(?) or whatever? Everyone was so adamant on not using anything but the rated Echo charger; I figured there must be a "special" car one too.

The power supply is what plugs in the wall, the charger with usb and battery connection is what you screw battery into so you will still need to use the echo charger and it puts out the 150 ma.

If I had a black battery, I would be all over that sweet pipe dongle. I think it would probably just look wonky on my chrome. I know it's just for looks, but I remember the price wasn't that bad when I looked at it and I think it's super cool. Sure beats spending 300 bucks on one of those crazy pipe mods!

Yea it was cheap at 15 bucks including shipping, probably the only cheap think janty has ever made. It looks ok with my silver Ego's on it with black mouth piece...but as soon as I got this all I could think was "this is a perfect echo accessory"

Also these auto echo's are from Nwvapors.com, old school with the small center air hole, no cut off...both working well with the dual coil cartomizers and the included ones. The pipe dongle makes it more comfortable to hold, for me, and does a nice job of hiding the big bright blue light at the end.

edit: 02/04
There is in fact a cut off on these 650 black auto's of around 6 seconds. I was unable to hit it with the dual coils but I set it off (on purpose) with the single coil included cartomizers. However the experience was not fun and I doubt I will set it off in use as its just to much "sucking" for me...cut off's are something I don't like on manuals but I guess this one on the auto isn't really an issue.

Hi Echo experts, Kren the noob again.

I got some atomizers and don't know what to do next. They are these

Is there anything special I need to do or can I just drip some liquid in, screw them on the end of the Echo and go? How about cleaning them?

Thanks, guys!

Quasimod put out "A Noob's Guide to Direct Dripping". It's how I learned the procedure when I first started and hopefully it will help you. Be sure you remove the atty from your auto bat to fill it until you get the hang of how much juice you can drip before it leaks.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/quasimod/504-noobs-guide-direct-dripping.html

Edit: Don't be confused with this cartridge comment. "Take one of your cartridges and remove the filler. That's the stuff that looks like cotton. You won't be needing it anymore." A cartridge was the mouthpiece with cotton in it that was used to feed the atty, they were near useless and nearly caused me to give up before I read Quasimod's post. This was long before great cartos like the Echo were on the market, though with the exception of the Echo I still prefer dripping most of the time.

ME too Looking for the experts! :D
What I'm looking for:
* 4.2 V (my sweet spot) even it it's shot life on a fresh charge. long batt life, 1300 mah should cover this.
*510 connection. can live with 808
*Auto driven (a wish really)
* OR on/off clicking. love to not have misfires in my pocket or purse.
*and lastly I have no need for LR hovering at just under 3.0 ohms

From what I'm reading on Google the Echo is for me?
Where do I find them in the US not China.
Sorry I just can't read through all 200+ pages but I Am looking.....

I think the place I got my first echo no longer is in business but nwvapor.com recently supplied me with another kit and they shipped the same day I payed for it...everything works..no complaints...except maybe the shipping cost. Its worth ordering 50 dollars worth of stuff just to get the free shipping (I got more cartomizers)

Probably figured it out by now. Pop the top off and fill with liquid. Don't go above the center post or liquid will leak in. Pop the top back on and wait 2-3 minutes for the liquid to saturate the coil at the bottom.

Oh yeah....put it to your lips and vape
