We are going to need an echomizer rebuild thread soon........as soon as one of us figures out the best way to tuck the wires. I'm thinking it will be get one side against the outside, insert the rubber, insert the inner wire and pop back on the center post. (Make sure nothing pokes out the bottom. lol!)

It won't be me.....I've got a busy weekend again so whatever I don't get in the next 30 mins will be it. I may have to go to bed with an unfinished project.

I slide the casing over everything and push down, it goes over the rubber seal part, and then tap on the top of it with the hammer. And it slides right down. I juice up the fillers before I wrap and use gloves since I'm working with nic juice.

Yeah the tuck seems tedious but once a system is established it should get easier with practice! I have a lot of catching up to do with rebuilding a coil, so I probably won't attempt it for a while, need supplies too.

I received some very leaky ones. But I already found the solution. (I also managed to fix the condensation buildup as well but I had a part that may not be available to all.) It seems the rubber condom can be pushed down too far causing airflow issues past the wicks. This will cause the air to try to force it's way in and pull in too much liquid. The liquid then obstructs the air tube and gurgles before finding it's way down to the battery.

But if you get in there with a piece of metal and pull up the rubber condom, then let the tip put it back in place when you screw it on, it will make sure it's not pushed down too far.

You're welcome!

And yes....these do come apart for cleaning

So charlz, what was the fix for leaking?

I got these last night and have been playing quite a bit. Can't make a final judgement yet, as I'm playing with two new pieces of gear at once, e.g. the iturbo and the echo batt. Really three, the Echo DCC

And to confirm, yes the cut off is about 10-11 seconds. Can't even hit it with a carto screwed on lol

What are the output specs on your usb charger? Mine is 5V and 300 mAh. Thought it was supposed to be a lower mAh

Preliminary impressions:

So the Echo def has more of a gen 2 sealed draw than a gen 1 unsealed draw. It's a bit more open and hits a tad harder than comparable 3.7 V sealed gen 2s, which is impressive

Cut off isn't hittable :)

Controlling for cartomizer, I'm pretty much getting equivalent vapor production vs. my V4L diamonds. But the diamonds being unregulated start around 4.2 Volts and taper down. I have to say, I prefer (unfortunately) the hotter vape with the diamonds, and I also like the draw better.

I didn't realize how addicted I am to 4.2 volts

Not sure I can get used to this, but I'm going to keep trying

ECHO DCC: Kind of dissapointed in this! For a carto that's supposed to be coming in at 1.7 ohms its pretty cool, I was expecting to be floored by the heat.Vapor is OK, not great. Great flavor, feel, construction, etc however.

Iturbo: Comparable to my fluxos (which I love). Draw is nice, flavor is great. I've had a little leaking; caused either by 1) over filling 2) tipping way to far past horizontal while vaping.I've found unscrewing the tip, tissue papering the juice above the 1.6 mark, and reaming a twisted tissue through the air intake hole fixes this.

I'm thinking maybe I should have just gotten an Infinity or Buzz pro lol

Alas, the Riva 901s are coming today

My dual is toast so I may try to save the wire. The wick was carmelized solid and I'm definitely not up to figuring out a dual coil. That one was a good one. Lasted all the way until I started trying these dark pipe blends. So you hammer it back on or just tap the base on a table until it's on? I've adjusted the wick back in place so all that's left it wrapping and putting everything back together.

Do you moisten the filler first before trying to wrap it? Seems like you'd get a tighter wrap.

What I found works best is to soak the filler in the juice you want to use. Then it slides back in easily and there are no dry spots.

I need to get something like the small shaft for the dual coils, i did one with the screw driver, but it was a pita not snagging the stuffing. I was and am working with single coils and its easier for me to do use the screw driver after i take out the stuffing.

I should say thanks again to you Errol because it was your posts that made me try to take one apart this way, I did not think it was possible, but its surprisingly easy.

I should also mention that i am literally using a tiny hammer, the whole thing is about 4 inches long, so it does not require as much force as I make it sound, a regular hammer would pop it right out--no doubt.

It is surprisingly easy. It's mostly the difficulty of explaining how to do it. Have been hoping Mohawkx might find some interest in this method and do a "How to" like his How To Clean and Rebuild The Gogo Cartomizer tutorial.

Found an interesting Twin Coil Clearomizer that I will try after I get my iTurbo units in.

The fix is typical of ce2s. Fluff the wick. I also don't fill directly on the wick anymore and just allow them to pull in juice normally. Pull up on the silicon rubber cap a little and let the tip put it back in place. I'm afraid only a rewicking will solve their problems completely. If you dare, you can snip a piece off one of your other ce2s and stack it on the supplied wick of the turbo and rewrap the coil. This worked for me until I get in new wick. It's very fiddly but I finally got it. Four tight wraps and there was just enough ends to make contact on the rebuild.

As stated before, by myself and others, you will enjoy that echomizer more if you toke on it. I can get the coil very hot this way and the flavor comes through amazing.

I'll try that fluff

I'm excited to try rewicking/recoiling, but can't go there yet

You are right about the toking, but it seems to be true with not only the Echomizer but the Echo period. The stiff draw pretty much dictates that style of vaping. Still can't decide if I like it or not. But its a nice change of pace either way, and feels wonderful in your hands.

Total opposite of a V4L unsealed auto hit, which is open, fast vapor flow, hard hit. Echo-ing is more like tight, slow flow, flavor...

Still haven't solved the mystery of depleting a friggin batt in two hours though lol. When the blue light turns off and the charger is green, full charge right? It reached that point ~1hr out of the box. Wonder if it was never fully charged and the charger was lying...

or it could be these dual coils from Vaporgirl. Again, I got one and it is indeed a harder draw than what I'm used to. If she has them, all the vendors will probably be getting them. They burn much warmer with a toke type vape. I had it in my Kuwako and was casually stoking away as I rebuilt another one and I had to take it out of my mouth for a moment.

This time I took one side of the air tube off the rubber so I could bend it out of the way during dry burn. The wick was completely black. It is now light grey. The coil was perfectly clean and I was able to scrunch it closer together. I trimmed some of the frayed edges off the air tube as it frayed a little when I bent it. I also primed the wick with a two drops of juice.
Rewrapping was a little harder with one side of the tube a little wiggly but this one is the best so far. Good as new. Better than new with a tighter coil and not coming close to touching the air tube. And these wicks stand up to a dry burn amazingly well. Totally burned off any caramelization without any singeing as far as I could tell.

Hadn't thought to actually push the coil closer together, that makes SENSE! More reason to get a suitable glue. Are you getting the inner wrap perfectly flat to the tube?
