I have been lurking on the echo threads for a while. I was wanting a reo, but It didn't look like I was going to get lucky when they got some made, and I worried it was just a bit fussy. So instead I plunked down for an echo from Mountain Vapor (hey, I've got to support a vendor from NC, my home and home of big tobacco.) And I am very happy. I am losing a bit of flavor, but TH, vapor and the sheer convenience make it very sweet. I got a kit with one of each battery size. The light at the end I don't like, and I still pick it up and fumble for a button, and it feels like a chewable pipe tip (any alternatives out there?) but all in all it is smooth, easy and I am vaping much too much....
I am adding a note that Dennis responded rapidly to questions and shipping was very fast. A very nice transaction.

Like they said any 801 drip tip will work, you can get them here 4.99 with free shipping and 15% off if you spend over 10.00 JOYE 510 Drip Tips. The ones I use and like best are aluminum 801 whistle tips from Ikenvape. They are thicker than regular whistle tip and have a larger drip hole that allows vapor to escape after a draw and prevents condensation buildup you get with the regular tip. They have the aluminum in silver, blk, or grey or delrin for 2.50 plus shipping which I think is around 2.00

Well, all good things must come to an end... or so they say.

I took the motorcycle up to the grocery store to get a $.62 can of tomato paste. My 650 Echo was in the lighter pocket of my jeans when I reboarded the bike. I guess I pushed it out when I sat down. I got home, finished making the chili that I was working on and reached for the Echo, but alas it was not there. I retraced my steps, then fear and anger wiped across my face. "My Echo is in the &!**#%% parking lot at Ingles" I said to myself. I raced to the car, jumped in and drove the 2 miles to the grocery. I pulled up to the place where I had parked, and there she lay, looking from a distance to have survived unscathed. I jump out of the car, run around the front and reach down to grab her and realize that she is twisted, scarred, ovalled, and the ash cap is laying seperate. P!ssed off I get back in, throw the Echo in the floorboard and come home, pouting about my loss.

After regaining my composure, I assess the situation... Carto - goner. Drip tip - ok (but ovalled). Battery - I wonder... So, I grab another carto, clean the connections and put the two together. It takes a stiffer pull to "Get 'er done" but she works! I'll not be trusting her outside the house, but around here, it'll remain a battery in circulation to see how long it lasts after that abuse.

So, all good things may come to an end, but not today for my 650mah Echo battery.

there is a modder on the modder accessories forum that makes a very simple macrame/o ring lanyard. Holds my Echo nice and tight and then slips inside my shirt. Check it out.

I ordered 2 echo-e cartomizers from cropduster901.com on Friday 5/20 and received on Monday 5/23. They were $4.95 a piece and $5 for shipping. Total was $14.90. Again, for those not clear on this, the echo-e carts are for people who already have ego type batteries and want to try out the echo style carts before purchasing the Echo (no "e" after) kits they have. I am still using the same cart from Monday and really liking it. I think I have filled it about 3 times. There are other vendors selling these I just picked cropduster because I did hear good things about him and he had them in stock. Have heard good things about the other vendors selling the echos as well. I may end up purchasing the Echo kit because 1. I like the carts and 2. it has the auto battery that people are saying they really like and 3. the batteries are 1300mah so they will last a looooooong time....

I only have the Echo, I would like to see a picture of the Echo e , Bill OKC could you or someone else post a close up of the inside and the bottom end of the Echo E please ?

I don't have a way to post a pic but it is made just like the other ego mega cartos. The cone comes down and covers the threads. The 510 connection is sloted and the cone air slots aren't cut as deep as the standard.

Bill or any one who has tried the echoE and the echo, can you do a comparison? Since I have 5 or 6 riva/ego batteries lying around, I would love to know how you think they compare. and thanks everyone for the different drip tip ideas, am I the only one who is not thrilled with the soft tips?
So far the 1300 battery on the echo is lasting forever, and significantly longer than the riva 1100's but that may be because I was using 306 atomizers.
