For those that may need them cropduster901 has the stainless echo batt's and carto's. He is currently running a deal that if you buy 4 carto's you get one free. It is great customer service and he is full of advise if you need it.

I agree Tony is a great guy to deal with. I see he has added Go-go's to his site.
Yeah he is supposed to be adding some more stuff as well. I just got in his Cub. It's a manual 808 thread so it can work to help clean your echo carts and runs off a 600mah batt. It works great so far and I can use it with the 808 carts I already had to test out juices for my echo. I think I'm sold on 808 being my size of choice
I saw the Cub and it looked like a nice little mini mod. I have the B-52 and it is a nice PV too and the Echo cartos work on it also.
If The Cub is considered a mini mod would the B-52 be a full sized mod? I was wondering what The Cub would be classified as. What exactly qualifies as a mod?

The first day on my new atty (2 weeks back) was a bit harsh, as I forgot to dry-burn my atty, I learned my leason. Thats the only problem I have with the Echo carto's, that new "HARSH" atty taste seems to go on the entire day before clearing out, took about 100 vapes to do so. Other then this I've been a very happy camper.![]()
You have to dryburn a NEW echo??
You have to dryburn a NEW echo??
I'm sure it's probably realized by most folks so forgive me for the obvious. There may be a couple of people that want to try the Mohawkz Method of carto cleaning/rebuilding on their Echo cartos. I know OMG doesn't have a problem since she has the Igo which has a manual power button.
For the "pulse" method of dry burning the coil on the Echo cartos though, unless you have lungs the size of an ox, the auto battery will be a lot more difficult to dry burn. Simplest method for dry burning them is likely in your arsenal already. Most start with an 808 or 510 e-cig that is of a small form factor similar to a cigarette. Even if you no longer use them for vaping, they still come in handy.
If you have a kr808d1 (such as V4l, Vapor King, etc.) manual battery and want to do a cleaning including a dry burn, just use one of those since the threads are the same as your Echo auto batteries. If you don't have a manual laying around, they can be picked up cheaply in the classifieds or at many online vendors.
Or if you have a 510 or really any other battery that is manual, you can go to most sites like Mad Vapes, Avid Vaper and many others and get an adapter for 510 (or whatever you have) to 808 for a couple of bucks. Again, forgive if this is obvious but for any newer folks just getting into the Echo scene, this is an easy and less stressful way to do your dry burn on your Echo carto coils!![]()
No you don't want to dryburn a new carto. You will burn the filler and then it will taste bad. Just fill it with 3 ml of juice and it will be fine. You only want to dry burn a carto when you are doing a complete clean and have removed the filler.
I asked the question because of this post by EtherMagic

That is what she was saying but it isn't logical. The cartomizers do not come with primer like an atty that sometimes needs cleaned or burned off. If you dryburn a cartomizer you will burn the filler and then you will have a burnt taste. The only way to safely dryburn is to remove the filler. Some people pull the carto partially out off the coil and dryburn then slide it back down but all the gunk you burn off stays in the carto. I haven't tried that but anyway that would only be after it had been used awhile and was gunked not needed on a new carto.
What kind of problems are you having with your cartos after two days? Mine last much longer in fact I've only set two aside to be cleaned, had one doa, and broke two in two months. Do you push the filler down with a straw after a couple of refills? The filler shrinks up a bit away from the coil and needs to be pushed down. That is the only thing I've done with mine. I do vape menthol which doesn't gunk up the coils as quick as some of the darker juices. I like the draw on mine but some users plug the air hole on the battery to make it draw harder. Bill at D&B Gold has the cartos priced at 5 for 12.50 which is 2.50 ea which is what most 3 ml cartos sell for.
