I just got Echo autos (650 and 1300) 808s and some of the regular cartos from nwvapors too, couldn't beat the sale price and liking them a lot already. Overfilled one carto, blew it out a little, and nothing more leaked out after a couple hours so I think it's holding everything in pretty well. I'm gonna hafta make milder juice too, my ears are ringing a little from the high intake compared to the little batteries and cartos I was using before @.o

I'm really looking forward to not having to refill cartos and switch batteries into a PCC every couple hours.

I might be spray painting the insides of the lenses though, don't want to get fined for trying to spotlight deer with them.

Question: Should the light on the battery stay on the whole time it's charging? It's lighting up the whole room...

Yes, it does stay on. I got the kit from NW too and it goes out about a half hour before it's done, according to the red/green light on the charger. The first thing I had to do when I got these cartos was drop down on the nic and pg. The cartos do smooth out after a day but it's still quite a leap. After Chinese New Year, Mountain Vapor is supposed to get in some stealths. I personally don't mind the light.

Must be nice being so close to Bill @ NW, though. He's quick, and a nice guy too. I know your a DIYer but his Khalua and Coffee is nice. Like a black percolated coffee flavor.

I agree, going from my tiny blu to the 650 echo is a shock on the nic and TH (picked up some 4 buck for 10mL juice from a local shop about 7 hours ago). Seems like a one second pull on the echo = a 5 second pull on my blu.

Already made two mistakes. 1. Tried full vg in an echo carto (I know I shouldn't have but curiosity...) (plus I tried the flavor in the store and it was really really good)
2. Decided it looked cool to blow the smoke back into the carto to make it come out the air vents (resulted in battery over firing....immediately dismantled and cleaned and all seems okay)

Very happy with everything though! Thanks for all the help. Any tips on what to do with this carto full of vg? It will vape for 2 hits with bubble sound..then drys up for a bit.

Thx Charlz, and yes, as soon as I discovered Bill was almost right here I put in an order, VERY nice to have a box arrive in a couple days instead of waiting a week :) I do like to DIY but I'm not opposed to trying premixed too, I'll check those out.

Hey StartLifeEndLife, When I was trying out 100% VG and it was too thick I made up some plain PG diluted down with 1/4 alcohol and 1/4 water, dripped that in until I could blow out a little, then let that sit closed up for a couple days. It took down the nic level but that didn't matter, I just used it at night before bed a couple days until it was almost done, then refilled with a normal mix with similar flavors. I didn't even clean it out that time, it worked out OK. Not great, but at least I didn't waste that juice.

So it sounds like those of you really enjoying the dual coils are using them on VV mods. I'm using a standard 1300 echo battery.
I'm 4 cartomizers in and I'm just kinda...confused. They are very warm, deliver an exceptional amount of nicotine, and provide a lot of vapor, but the vapor is very thin and has almost no TH. I am at a loss.
The Single coils had thick mouthy vapor with great TH, and stayed somewhat cool. I'm trying to be unbiased, so I am wondering if I personally just like the SC traits better, while others like the hot thin high nic vapor of the DCs or if I seriously have a bunch of semi-duds. I'll check back in after I've tried more of the DC cartomizers. Ya never know, what with the vaping world's quality control ;-p

Quality control may be an issue here,
flavor is subjective but in no way would I say the dual coils produce less vapor than the single, I would say the same or slightly more.

I have always used 100% VG niquid in my Echo cartos and haven't had any similar problems. Do find that if I fill it all the way to the gurgling point it doesn't vape as well as when it's about 3/4 full. Did try a 50/50 VG/PG mix once and didn't see and advantage and didn't like it as well as my VG mix. Perhaps my higher voltage vaping has something to do with VG working well for me.

I would think the SC would be a much better match for your 3.7v battery. The DC carto require quite a few more watts of power to heat the two coils to the same degree as a single coil.

If you have ever given any thought to a VV unit you may want to read this review MadVapes Variable Voltage Box Mod Review

I stick with my SCCs. If you toke on them like a cigar, they get warm quick. That way, i'm exhaling great flavor and it's getting warmer each toke. Like a toke, stoke, puuuull. Each carto is different though and it seems I can have a love affair with each one. The benefit of the auto is that you can do this. With a manual it would be impractical to push a button like that. If you are using high PG juice, it may be very thin on a DCC with just straight pulls on them. I have remeasured all my cartos. The DCCs that work best are the ones that measure 2.0 to 2.1. The ones that come in under 2.0 just produce heat and it takes a lot of stoking to get the coils right. Errol had it right. It takes a lot of volts to properly fire up a DCC.

To clarify my ohms statement above, there will always be a slight variance, even under the strictest QC. The singles should come in a 3.0. The duals are 2.0. There will always be a variance of +/-.2 . So some of my DCCs can come in around 1.8. Yes they fire, but it takes awhile to get em going right. If you do straight pulls, you won't get them there before cutoff. The opposite is true of the singles. The best ones I have are ones that measure in at 2.8ohms. These are the ones that stay in my rotation the most. Best flavor and warmth. At 3.2ohms. they are still ok. I have subtle frutiy flavors that I can enjoy at low watts. Less heat and vapor but higher heat really kills the subtle side notes in the flavor.

I'm enjoying a pipe blend of three different juices right now on a 2.8ohm SCC that was too peppery on a dual. At closer to 5 watts, I can taste the cherry and vanilla notes better. maybe something choco-ish and some really fruitish flavor that I can't identify because it is there on the first stokes but vanishes before I can think about it. Is it apricot or peachy? IDK it's gone! Maybe Goldenkobold or dirtmonkey can help.
What is this mystery fruit I taste in the foreground of pipe blends?

I e-mailed mountain vapor and mentioned the stealth autos. I talked about how much I liked mine, but Bill at D&B told me they had a high fail rate. Mountain vapors response was that they do in fact have a high fail rate according to the manufacturer. I was informed it may be a while before they get them now. My stealth autos work absolutely perfect, but maybe I just got lucky on my 4. :(

After it sat coil side down for 12 hours vs. the 45 min i let it sit the first time its vaping like a champ! Perhaps my issue is in the filling and waiting department. Are you doing the syringe fill? I need some pointers on this, i have one coming in the mail and currently have 5ml bottles with an 18g needle tip but was unsure of myself so i drip filled. (20 drops while turning, wait 5 min, repeat till a drip out the bottom-think both vg and pg only took about 80 drops, so i think my drops are a little largish?)

so simple with a syringe. Fill it up with 3ml of liquid. Wiggle it into the filler down the side and slowly squirt in 1 ml. rotate 1/3 and do again. Repeat and let sit. If the filler looks like it can take more, it can be topped off normally. You get less air bubbles trapped in the filler. Others have their methods, I'm sure.

I've been using my two stealth autos since December and they're still running great. I've even gotten juice in them from a filling mishap that I sucked out and they're still kicking. I wonder what the issue is with them? I only got a stealth because Bill was sold out of the regular ones during his $35 sale.

are you actually going into the filler, or are you sliding between the metal wall and the filler?

Either way. I try to do what the filler wants. Sometimes it doesn't want to let me in but I'm a persistent guy.

Just dont go down the side of the center post or you run the risk of hitting the coil

If this is the wrong place to post this please forgive me. My new Echo came in the mail today. I am very excited to try it out. I charged it for a little over 1 hour, and the charger light is now green. I am curious as to if I should wait or should I start using the Echo. I saw someplace a person said you should let it chard for like 12 hours no matter what the LED shows.

I am a bit confused to this as the electronics in the charger will shutoff charging once it senses the battery is full. So am I wrong for thinking it is ready to go? This is my first "big purchase" I am a little excited.

Thanks in advance.
