Northwest Vapors - can't find an actual suppliers thread for them, but thought I'd post my experience with their customer service here - I ordered on Tuesday some chargers and wall adapters and some more cartos, as a five pack of the standard 808s was only $6.50 and that's the best price I've seen, and the Echo cartos were $2.50, also the best price I've seen. I couldn't find a coupon code so I added a note to the order asking that if there was one out there, I'd be grateful if they could apply it (northwest and vapors are too common a term, I guess, and I was getting thousands of hits here).

The order arrived yesterday, Friday (they're in Oregon and I'm in PA so that's great shipping) and instead of applying a coupon code, Bill included a 1300 Echo battery and three 10 ml bottles of e-juice, hand-writing a note and wishing me a happy Valentine's Day.

AWESOME!! Thanks, Bill!! I'll definitely be back!

It turns out that I just got a few duds. Very frustrating when it happens on the first couple of tries. The dual coil ECHO cartomizers are as great or better than the single coils (when they work). The only downside, for me, is that they seem to chug through juice pretty fast.
Seriously though, I hate duds. Especially with ECHOs. $3 of juice and a $3 carto.
But I have to admit that, in general, the ECHO is still the most user friendly, easy to recommend to a newbie, vaporizing system I have seen.

I just got three new dual coils from cropduster and they are working ok but I am finally having that effect where the battery stays on till the cut off....not sure what the difference is as I have used lower ohms than either the northwest or the crop duster (with an adapter) and they did not cause the same effect.

BUT

so far the cropdusters I have tried both worked just acted different.....consistency is not China's strong point for sure.

While we are talking about carto issues, I have one DC carto that will not fire unless its unscrewed about 1/4 to 1/6th of the way. All other cartos are fine on both batterys and both battery posts and carto connections are clean. Fires great when in the proper position. What do you guys think? Battery post height issue or just a dying carto. I have yet to raise the post or clean any cartos.

Nice job, Los Maurader!
Any 808 product is compatible with the echo. I use mine 85%, only using a manual to drip test juices and when I want to vape something at high watts. A five pack is a comfortable monthly purchase. They should last all day 3mls is a lot of juice to go through in a day, unless you are vaping a high volt PV. Having one to spare when it's time to order more or if you want to attempt washing them. The only report I have seen of the echo going off by itself was from somebody getting careless and getting juice in the battery.
If your current PV is also an 808, you can use some of the old cartos to test new juices. Mountain Vapor has 808 clearomizers that hold .5ml and are perfect for juice tasting. Good luck.

Thanks for that info. I'm still a newbie using 808's but was ready to move up so after all the glowing reports from this thread I just ordered an echo from cropduster. It should be here in the next couple days and I am sooooo excited! But I was wondering how I would continue to test juices with the echo. Good advise on the .5ml clearomizers. I will order some today. Thanks again!

So I went to my first vape meet with windy city vapers club last night. And there's three things id like to mention. 1) nobody had ever heard of the echo 2) most people were impressed with the auto/pipe attatchment (it even got taken around the room on a tour at one point) 3) I got to talk about my experience with the echo and the echo thread on vape tv!

All in all a good time. Everyone had a mod, or three lol. But I took my friend who is new to vaping to show him all his options and now he is really sure he wants "exactly what I have".

Have you cleaned and raised the post yet? It sounds like an airflow issue. Get a pin in the airflow holes in the threads.

I ordered another Kuwako to fool around with, also I am not 100% sure this friction fit it uses won't loosen up over time. At 12 bucks its not a big deal but who knows if Janty will be around or making them still in a year if something does happen to it.

Yes and did the pin, did improve airflow as I had not cleaned the air holes out yet. But still didn't work. Then I decided to play "what's different in this picture" with the carto with an issue and with one that is new. I discovered a TINY metal wire poking its head out of the carto with the issue. It was on the connection side right under the clear rubber o ring. I was a able to push it back under the o ring and then the carto worked fine.

Anyone else ever come accross this? What is this wire/metal piece? I haven't disected a carto yet since I don't have any dead ones. Was this metal wire hurting my battery?

Odd.......it's the pos or neg wire (?) poking through maybe. Actually don't know which way they are wired.

It is odd. The carto didn't experience any kind of trauma or anything either. Perhaps it got screwed in too tightly at some point, although I try to be careful with that. But I know I did try screwing it in firmer when it started malfunctioning.

Vaped on it for a couple hours and its still holding up.

I did, shipping was fast but like Charlz my first order didn't go through for whatever reason so it took an extra day for me to figure that out.
Which battery looks best with it the 650 or 1300 and Blk or Chrome? I was going to order another battery so it will get here about the same time.

I only have black, though the chrome carto's I have look nice on the black battery so I imagine a chrome battery and carto would be fine as well....I think either size works fine one obviously has a longer looking "stem" than the other but either works well...maybe for weight the 650 works slightly better...

So I would say any of the above even if that is not helpful :vapor:

I was looking for an excuse to buy another battery so I guess I'll order a black 650 to use with it. I couldn't believe the prices janty charges, 29.00 for a 650 auto battery and 16.00 for basically the same carto as the Riva-T that Cropduster sells for 4.99. it amazes me that Janty has so many fans that will pay those prices. The pipe bowl was the only thing that was priced right.
