here's the actual thread for the Vision's again. It for the 510 version. The only difference is, when taking apart the 808 version, the plastic wiggles off the entire silver base. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/atomizer-mods/263355-gotvapes-stardust-how-re-wick-replace-coil.html

Nice work, SLEL, on the echo rebuild. I've found that it helps if you are going to make a new coil to keep the wick as short as the original and do a couple of burns after it has been dripped on. It keeps it together better when popping in from underneath. Longer wicks get trapped in the metal. Next time, I'm going to try to leave them even longer to pull them through first so they are clear, then push everything else up. The hope is, with longer wicks, I can create a space between the coil and filler so there is no chance of burning the filler. It's a work in progress. I may have some time tonight.

Contact with certain suppliers. We need to be open and honest with them and they will return the favor. At one time, the ego was branded to Joye. Now it is used to describe any fat bat 510, and has caused confusion that we seem to have sorted out. The same thing is happening to the echo. Any any manufacturer will be able to make an echo battery in an unregulated market. We are going to have to ask our suppliers in the future to list it when they have genuine echo products.

That being said, just as there are 510 batteries that are superior to the ego, there may be an echo battery to come along that is BETTER to our echo. Hard to imagine, but true. We just have to let everyone know we want to know what we are buying. For example, there are different versions of the Kgo out there. I won't buy one unless I know it's made by Sailbo (SLB)

I totally agree but what if they know only who their particular vendor is and not who their vendor's vendor is? I'm thinking I received a non-Echo Echo stealth 'cause it just doesn't perform as well as the others.

Meanwhile my 650 mah echo battery took 5 hours to charge yesterday on my 300 mah charger...does that seem right to you? I used a wall wart with 5V out. Maybe they just put the wrong sticker on my charger...there's a scary thought.

Edit: actually 5 hours is when I took it off the charger because I went to bed.

If it was a dead battery it should take 2 hrs and 10 min to charge a 650 at 300 mah rate.

What were your charging lights doing? Did you feel the battery to see if it was getting a little warmer than room temp? Did it seem to have more oomph when you tried it after taking it off the charger? What I'm getting at is are you sure there was a charge going into the battery?

Battery was dead, and then worked off the charge so I know it took a charge. Charging light red on usb part, solid blue light on battery.

Its like the battery doesn't wanna take a charge faster than 150 ma because about 5 hous is what it normally takes on the stock chargers. This is a 300 mah after market charger from mtnvapor. They do say on the site that it "should" charge the echo twice as fast.

I plan to do a side by side charge test of my 650s on each charger and then check with supplier.

No noticble temp change, but my regular chargers don't normally get one either, and it was just as strong as an echo in the middle of its battery depletion cycle, nothing stronger than usual.

As long as the battery isn't getting warm I would just leave it connected until something indicates it's charged. As always, disconnect when unattended.

did this charger ever seem to work faster than that SLEL? or has it been this way since you got it?

Since day one, I'm not too concerned about using the charger itself but I got the 300ma to charge faster in case of Emergency.

Btw, mtnvapor has the 808 "tank" .5 mL back in stock. Also they are carrying the iturbos but those are not in yet.

It was forever! I ordered like a month ago and then got an email saying they were out of stock and have been checking their site every day! Finally they are on their way!

maybe the IC in your Echo is smart and refuses to accept charge faster than 150mAh per hour? I'm reaching here....

I got a 420ma charger with my kit and it only takes 3 hours to charge my 1300mah echo

Woah, that's the first I heard of a 420ma charger for the echo, I second LULU'S question and also wonder if its truly an echo? Is it auto 808/901?

Edit: used wrong name sorry
