so i've spent the past day and half with the eGo, and i'm totally in love! i've only been vaping for a month, and was perfectly happy with my Joye 510, but i was itching to try an upgrade. so when cignot announced that they were starting to carry it, i was more than ecstatic to order one...especially from these ladies!
the day i ordered the eGo, my boyfriend (finally) expressed some interest in vaping. a while back, we had discussed quitting smoking together and i had decided to give e-cigs a try, while he chose to go the Chantix route. after doing research on both, i was 110% sold on trying e-cigs but was wary for him to try these prescription medications because of all the weird side effects. on the other hand, he was wary of trying e-cigs because he felt the hand-to-mouth actions and inhaling nicotine were too similar to real smoking, and in his mind felt that he wouldn't really be quitting.
in the end, he decided to hold off on making an appointment with his doctor and see how my experiences with e-cigs went. now a month later, he's so impressed how quickly i stopped smoking (i literally quit after my first drag off of the 510), and even though he still thinks he's not really quitting, he agrees it's much better than smoking. so, it couldn't have been more perfect timing since he can my standard batts, PCC and PT to good use and we can share attys and carts! sorry for going a bit off tangent here. i'm just so excited that i've got someone to vape with and he's even got some of his co-workers interested!
anyway, back to the review.
Pros:
first off, the battery life is amazing! i haven't exactly timed how long i've been going on just one battery, but let's just say i used to use my PT for hours and i didn't notice a difference. i know some people prefer a faster battery charge time, but it fully charges way before i'm done using up the other one.
i'm not sure if it's the slightly higher voltage or cone, but compared to the 510, the draw is smoother and slightly warmer. i didn't think it was possible, but all my juices taste even better!
i also really like the overall design of the eGo. it's actually smaller than i thought it would be, and it's got a little more heft so it feels very nice in my hand. two fully assembled eGos and two small bottles of liquid still fit nicely in my eye glass case for whenever i go out.
Cons:
*FWIW, these cons are very minor and shouldn't hinder anyone from trying one out.*
i did have the button stick on both batteries once, but all i had to do was press the button down again and it was fine. i'm hoping it won't be a constant thing, but i honestly don't foresee it.
i use various juices throughout the day, so i tend to switch attys pretty often. again, it's not major but because of the cone, there's an extra piece to deal with when assembling/disassembling. i've also noticed that whenever i disassemble, there's either a bit of juice or condensation inside the cone and around the atty so i just have to make sure that i thoroughly wipe the threads and everything. although, this could be entirely my fault since i might be slightly overfilling my carts...
well, that's what i got so far! overall, i'm very impressed and happy with it. i totally recommend it to a first time user or anyone considering upgrading!
