Basically I have a V4L Vaporking, and I love it, I love the carto's I dig the passthrough, and the batteries ok...But everyone keeps telling me theres beetter oout there and I just lost one of my batteries today so I figured maybe it might be time to upgrade...I've posted and looked around on here, and basically I keep getting led towards the EGO...I'm basically looking for something that has good battery life, and great vapor, any insight would be nice...Also I don't even know who sells the Ego so if anyone could share the link that'd be awesome

I have Egos. They are generally a good next step from where you are. I'm a firm believer in a gradual process and let your vaping evolve. I really always liked the Egos, and I particularly like vaping on them using the type B tank atty.

As you may read, the tank atty's can be tough, because they have a wick that can be a little out of place and you will get a burnt taste. But I have an atty that is still in use that is about 2 months old. I think that is good. You can nudge the wick (if you have to) either up or down. Mine never leaked.

There are many vendors who sell them. I always order my Ego supplies from Vicki at Cignot. I tried a couple of atty's from another vendor and they were not good.

I have now stepped up to a REO and I really love it. (Actually have 3 Reos now :) ) But I just like having an Ego around. The Ego is elegant for going out.

The Ego battery itself is very versatile also. You can use any tip or carto that has a 510 connector. That opens a vast array of atomizers and cartomizers, as well as tank mods. You will have to experiment to see what works for you the
best.

Good luck with your journey. I do recommend the Ego as a second PV. A REO is a good choice also.

The ego is a good model to go with. For a light to medium vape, one should last you all day. I work 8-5 and typically take 2 bats with me to work with 4-5 15 minute vape sessions during 8-5. In the evening I am usually a heavy vaper, and I have yet to have a battery die on me completely. I typically switch them out after I get home so I don't discharge them completely.

I definitely recommend all manual batts though.

As for a vendor, I recommend cignot. They have great customer service!

Reos Mods

The REO is a bottom feeder. That means it is a "box" shaped mod, with an entire bottle of juice you put in it and squeeze it when you want to feed the juice to the atty or carto. There are 3 different current versions. Woodvil is all wood, 6 oz bottle for juice and either 3.7 or 6 volt depending on your choice of battery. It is smooth and comfortable to hold. Button is great.

The REO Grand and Mini are all aircraft grade aluminum box mods. The Grand hold a 6 oz bottle, the Mini holds a 3 oz bottle. Vaping with them is just awesome. I use the mini for my daily commute, and the Woodvil and Grand for evening. They all have a different juice in them.

I still recommend an EGO as your next step. It is a good vaping experience, and you will learn more about the atty or carto that you might like whileusing an Ego. And then you can always use the Ego for going out, or for dripping juice to taste new flavors. You can get a good kit for anywhere between 49-79 dollars depending on your choice of atty/carto and accessories. Look at Cignot.com , liberty flight, and REOSmods.com. Check them all out.

the difference between 650 and 1000 mah is the size of the battery. Always go for the largest batteries (1000 mah in this case). If you get a 1000 mah passthru battery, you can plug your battery into the charger and vape at the same time. If you have to go out, unplug your battery from the usb port and you will have a huge battery that will last a very long time, probably at least 5, 6, 7+ hours depending on how much you use it. Standard 510 cigarette e-cig kit batteries are around 200 or less mah for comparison. You'll also have your 2nd 1000 mah battery to take with you just in case. LR= low resistance. If it doesn't say LR, then it is a standard resistance atty. A standard resistance atty works well and will last a little longer then a LR atty. LR attys work at lower ohms (around 1.5ohms vs. 2.5-3.0 ohms in standard) and LR attys produce more heat in the vapor. They make the vaping experience more like vaping at 5 or 6 volts vs. the 3.7 volts the ego produces. Actually, the ego produces less then that, more like 3.4 volts because it isn't a true 3.7 volt device. You can't go wrong with an ego or a REO. cignot.com has a decent price on ego kits. You can upgrade for only a few bucks extra to larger and/or passthru batteries. They have excellent customer service and extremely fast shipping. I'm sure they will be able to answer any other questions you have if you have any problems.

What's the big difference between 650 mAh and a 1000 mAh...And what's the Sub LR vs the...uh...whatever the non sub LR

The 650mah and 1000mah battery differ in two ways: the 1000 mah will last longer thru the day...most likely all day...perhaps part of the next day depending on vaping style. The other difference is the size. The are the same circumference, the 1000mah is about an inch longer. Other than those two things, no difference. Cignot will let you mix your kit and order one of each size and in different colors if you want.

I prefer the EGO T battery, as it is sometimes called. The T battery came out when the Tank style atomizer was introduced, and was the first model to allow five quick pushes or "clicks" to shut them off. Nice when you want to put it in your pocket, purse, or otherwise store for a bit.

I am expecting an ego, just as soon as the stork lands....Is not discharging completely recommended for batteries, sorry this is all new to me?

As I understand it, discharging completely or not makes no difference in the life of the battery. I'm not an expert on batteries though, so someone may correct me!

I use an eGo, and I love it. I think it's unmatched for versatility. Small enough to pocket, the battery lasts a long time, you can use LR atties (which ROCK), you have the option of a passthrough version which will allow you to vape at a higher voltage... It's just a great all-around vaping tool. I may graduate to mods one day, but I'm in no hurry as long as I have my eGo, and I'm sure I'll always keep a couple around. As for the best place to get them - I ordered mine from Altsmoke, but since then I've learned that many people prefer to get the Riva (which is basically an eGo clone) from Liberty Flights, because it has a slightly higher mAh than the standard eGo (750 vs. 650), and the full kit is cheaper than any eGo kit I know of (especially if you take advantage of the 20% off coupon LF offers). To sum up, you can't go wrong with an eGo or one of it's many clones... As long as you're ordering from a respected vendor!
