How much do we spend on t.v. channels we rarely watch, or on other avenues of enjoyment and pleasure? So long as we are happy, and not spending beyond our means, it's all good.

Haven't paid for cable since two months after I got my android box.. When I did have it I just ended up PVR'ing everything so I could fast forward the commercials anyways, I do have a couple streaming services at like 20$ a month but I don't even use them (wife does though).

Abosolutely nothing lol! It's funny really, I won a 50$ Gearbest Gift card, ended up picking up Android TV box so that was free too..
12 dollars a pack, holy crap! I was miffed when they hit 75 cents a pack in the 80's lol.

14$ for the premiums now, my mother inlaw asked me to pick her up a pack and I was like holy crap..

Pack of 25 cigs is 32$ here now (that is 24.57$ US). Yet another prices rise. Got a packet the other day cause I am still dual using.
Hoping the WTA I have on order is going to help though.

That just makes me choke.. I haven't a clue how you all do it.

Are there many cigarette robberies I wonder?

How do people afford 25-50 dollars a day, every day? That's 18,000 a year at two packs a day - which is what I used to smoke, meaning, I would be putting 9.53 per hour (before taxes) from my hourly wages (assuming 40 hours per week) toward cigarettes to smoke at those prices. 4.76 per hour for one pack a day.

Wow..

Maybe, what is happening is they are starting to see contraband which was never a big problem before, it would be extremely lucrative to start exporting smokes there so no wonder they are seeing contraband, could easily double your money every time you exported which would make it a pyramid scheme that actually works lol..

I know right! I am embarrassed to say I was spending about 900$ (690.76$US) a month on smoking. Terrible :(
Now, with all the money I am saving/have saved, boy, have I got some good holidays planned!
And yes, the crimes related to the robberies of cigs has increased, especially on the 'soft targets' - gas stations, corner stores and the like. And of course the sale of the illegal 'chop chop' is booming!

My husband says ( as I was just telling him what your prices are ) that you all could benefit from some tobacco seeds...

My brother-in-law had a tobacco plant! He did quite well for a while 'making' his own tobacco, but I think it all got too hard. He is a REALLY heavy smoker, but since seeing me vaping, he has shown a strong interest. So, guess what he got from me for his birthday? His first vaping kit, extra coils and two bottles of e-liquid! He absolutely loves it....and my beautiful sister could not be happier (non-smoker).

That's fantastic, Catherine, I hope your brother takes to vaping and that the WTA helps you. Those prices are insane, insane enough that you could probably vape WTA forever almost, and still come out ahead.... I wasn't willing to do that, but for transitioning, it's awesome. Best of luck, and wow, those prices are crayzee.... My injector and tubes and loose tobacco kind of made it easier (financially) to get to three packs a day, but I did BUY my last pack of cigarettes, and that $11 price tag really drove home to me that my cigarette habit would have cost me a tank of gas Per Day, and that's just insane....

I can't say that making my own cigarettes did ANYTHING for my cigarette habit (which was steadily increasing, though) in some ways it probably made it worse. But, either way, I'm so glad I found vaping, for me the $$$ is less important than how I feel, though I do remember desperate times where it was hard to buy cigarettes (I switched to Basics at one point, their slogan is "Enjoy the fine taste of Heavy Metals) and it was incredibly frustrating at times, and honestly most "cessation aids" are far more expensive to vaping. Vaping just WINS, all round.

Congrats, and I hope your brother does well with vapng. :)

People do... you will find such persons peddling their (wholesale discounted extra mods) to pay for the one or two they actually keep. If you are lucky, you can find such folks on Paypal, but for heaven's sakes, look at seller feedback and whatnot, as people also sell their broken, used, or cloned equipment on there, too.

I don't see it as a bad way to get a lower cost mod (and for the seller, mods for free) I just hate wading through there and I was burned on there once.... But, there are also co-ops for hard to find items and whatnot, where costs are shared via buying in bulk.

I'd love to buy certain mods by the case, but I don't think it's gonna happen (Provari) so I just plan to enjoy the ones I have, LOL. I'm pretty set ATM, actually. Thank goodness...

Thanks Anna! Yes, it is a terrific feeling to maybe help another person transition to vaping.
You gave me the idea to try the WTA back when I first started vaping. I have been keeping it as my 'secret weapon' and am excited about it arriving soon.
And to keep on topic with this post, the brother-in-law is getting another of the SAME kit for Christmas because he is loving his first set-up.

We're up to $11 per per pack now ($9 when I quit). It's staggering for sure.

I'm still using almost all of my older gear, and still vape 15-18mg, 65% PG juice. The same as when I began.

My biggest concern is that these types of mods will no longer be available, and I'd have to reduce to the pod'ish options. I prefer total control, which is what my current collection provides me with.

Therefore, I bought enough to last. Let the world move on, as my avatar might have said.

No clue on what cigs go for here, now. They were pushing $100 a carton when I quit, once all the State and local taxes were tacked on. So that was around $400+ a month for me.

The (thankfully delayed, but NOT eliminated!!) Dooming with the August '16 date, along with the surge in mega-watt cumulo-stratus devices and resultant fire sale pricing of lower power mods and tanks allowed me to get multiples of the mods and RTAs I like and, of course, a lot of nic in the freezer.

Should the old saw about the imports lasting only a year be true (ime, it's not), I'm still set for the next 30. And it's really hard to kill a KF2L, but since each mod needs its own tank...

As DP and others have noted, what you like may not be available in the near future, and not just from the harm FuDA is doing.

Kinda.... I have 3 each of GP, HoH, Nemesis and Gus Mech mods but they are a little bit different in finish. Same mods, different colour or pattern.

I have 3 identical authentic Kayfun Lite+, Smok BBB, Kabuki and Super Tank Minis though.
