The exploding battery issue has got me scared, what USB PT options do I have?

I think he posted a note about his payment processor stopped dealing with e-cigs or something and he is temporarily using WePay to collect or checks via mail. I e-mailed him back once I got the order notice, asking for a WePay bill and I paid that way when he e-mailed the WePay statement.

Edit: I sent him an email directing him to this thread so hopefully he will check in when he reads his e-mail.

Thanks, just got the Wepay invoice. Took awhile. Wonder if a UFS going to look funny on it.

Just for grins ... you can't get away from stacked 18650's these days. A laptop battery has a pile of them inside, all stacked up.

LOL, thanks for reminding me why I went tablet + desktop.

Hey laptop battery explosions aren't bad! Things don't seem to go flying around.

Anybody remember the Dell battery incident? Good times.

I understand you had a battery blow out in the past. The point of my post was basically don't be a worry hound. There's tons of accidents daily, involving many things, and you can't control them all. Just live life and enjoy it.

If you read my posts, I already went through a battery blow out (non e-cig related) before and that freaked me to the point of phobia maybe. I junk 5 batteries a month just due to rotation. I check charge/discharge cycles and junk when its half way its rated lifespan (I don't trust batteries to be fresh or even legit, I've seen quite a few bootleg batteries in my life).

I do this to further minimize risk. I would like a PT so I can limit the charge/discharging I do on my batteries.

Why is it so hard to understand, I just want another safety net? I'm not going to stop vaping. I just want to make it safer for myself. I'm most stationary right now so why take extra risk when I don't need to?

And people saying not to worry are the people who worry me. Batteries explode. Even protected ones. Only the paranoid survive.

Well I'm going to contact modders and see if anybody wants to make me PT with VV.

And to the cell phone thingie, yes I do but I keep it away from my body (usually in a bag). Monitor its charging and either get a new phone or swap the battery before its rated lifespan is up.

And to the guy who mentioned the Jazz. I already own one (plus I stopped being a carto guy). Just want something for when I'm stationary.

Look around for a wall wart that is the voltage you want and then all you need is the connector and a switch wired to it.
I found a 4.5V 1800mA at radio shack a few years ago. I just hooked it up to a box mod. Does the job.

New incident Feb 13. Unless I'm completely wrong.

This thread. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...n-severe-injuries-exploding-ecig-battery.html

Thought the Jan explosion was due to stacked CR123's.

Back on topic:

Anybody know any higher end PT's that do 3.7 without a battery to step down? Or VV?
