A couple weeks ago, I ordered a did clone from Fasttech. Code tenoff brings the cost down to right at $8 shipped! With the way it looked and the price, I couldn't resist it. I'm glad I didn't!

I ordered it March 23rd and got it today. I'm super impressed! It comes setup with wick and wire, just like it shows in the picture. the wire is most likely 28g and the coil metered .9. The air hole lines up perfectly with the wick when the top cap is screwed on all the way, in my picture, it doesn't look like it but it is lined up. The pos post thumb screw is very easy to manipulate. I ended up popping the coil so I rewrapped it with 28g 6/7 wraps. The wick is very skinny so with that many wraps, I can still get the low resistance. My rewrapped coil came out to .9

Even with the skinny wick and tiny air hole, I'm getting tons of vapor and great flavor. This little thing looks just as good in person as it does on the website.

It may not have the high price tag and premium name, it may not be made out of the best materials but it looks fantastic and performs awesome. The draw is perfect for me.. not too tight, not too airy.

That coil looks like a one way ticket to a sore throat.

That was what it looked like out of the package. I moved the coils around a little but then popped it. I rewrapped it with 28g and it now looks like this. It's metering .9. I have run about half a tank through it and have not had any kind of burnt or metallic taste. It's been perfect.

Got the same one in today as well .. Mine metered out to 1.6..dropped a coil and dropped in down to 1.1 ohms

Hits hard - lots of vapor

Looks pretty good on my Legacy..

Don't understand the sore throat comment?..can you explain?

The stock coil looks to be rather loose around the wick, meaning that the wire will heat up without being in contact with the wick. It'll most likely cause the burnt metallic taste that people complain of. The wick is great though. I really like mine. I was surprised that I got that much vapor with the small air hole. It's worth $8 especially when the shipping is included.

I've been using 30g and this 28g is harder to work with, not used to it yet. The 28g that I have was what came with my ac9 and it's wrapped around a piece of cardboard. When I take off a length of it, it's not exactly straight and smooth and it makes it a bit challenging to wrap smoothly around the coil.

I got two too....well yesterday now. Pulled coil and wick and did my own. I like how the coil section of the wick is longer than the AGA-T. Did .28 Kanthal 5 wrap @ .8 ohms. You can burry your center post quite easy so I had to play with it a bit to get the right length. HATE the tank. Looks like its just cheap plastic, but donnah was kind enough to tell me bout IBTanked for a glass tank. Sad that the glass will be more expensive then the addy, but its still a good price. However I think 2 is enough for me.

.......... it's not exactly straight and smooth and it makes it a bit challenging to wrap smoothly around the coil.

swipe the wire between your thumb and a screwdriver shaft or a ball point pen or something similar. Curls the wire but you can turn the wire and swipe it on the 'back' side so to speak or just uncurl by hand, but at least it gets it smooth again.

You can do the same thing to a piece of ss mesh to get it to curl to start rolling. Also, you can swipe the ss over the edge of a desk or something to start it curling.

This one is 3 ml. Not that that's any better. Just another option. The drip tip that comes with it sells for ~$6 around here; so I guess that makes the mini did clone ~$3. LOL DID REPAIRABLE GENESIS STYLE ATOMIZER

edit; I did get 2 of these and they are just fine. Wick hole is 3/32"
edit, edit; only took about 9 business days en route, and mailed next day

Hey donnah, couple things I have noticed since I have gotten this. From your pictures when ya wrapped the coil take that bottom screw and cinch it against that grommet so juice doesn't leak down your post. The other change I made is mine came with a total of 4 grommets, top, bottom, and the top and bottom of the center post. The center post already has O-rings so those grommets on the post aren't needed. I realized this when mine started dying. I had to sand the tank down a little bit after that to exactly 15mm to get the right seal, and fully seat the center post. Doesn't leak after that mod. Now I have a couple extra grommets for replacements, and they fit on my AGA-T too.

Hmm I like that they come with a metal drip tip. Better than the plastic ones.
