As I sit typing this, I am coming up on 25 hours without an analog. I must admit that I still have cravings for an analog. It helps when I remind myself that I'm not really craving a cigarette, I'm craving benzene, formaldehyde, ammonia, acetone, arsenic and hydrogen cyanide among others. This helps put things in perspective.

Whoops... hour 25! :vapor:

Yeah, I wasn't able to give up analogs right away either. I started vaping in late May and this is my first attempt (holding strong at 60 hours right now.) I quit once on Chantix for 6 days, so I'm really looking forward to the 7 day mark. But I don't have the longing for a cigarette the way I did with Chantix. That's why pills, gum and patches don't work in my opinion. They do nothing for a smoking addiction. They only treat your addition to nicotine and there is MUCH more to smoking than an addiction to nicotine. It is a RITUAL. And it's the RITUAL of pulling them out of your pocket, putting them in your mouth, inhaling, seeing the smoke come out of your mouth and having somthing in your hands that to me is more important than ANY level of nicotine. That's why vaping is so great and has been so successful for so many people. It lets us have everything we want without the enormous health risks associated with smoking.

Congrats to you firefox!! It's amazing how easy this is. And don't forget about the FSC they added to the cigarettes, thats what i think about when i have a craving... good luck!!

Thanks for the words of support guys. And I wonder if as many cigarettes would be sold if they changed the FSC label to read "ethylene vinyl acetate", or "carpet glue" or "liquid nails."

Thanks for everyone's kind comments and support. I'll admit it hasn't been as easy as I had hoped. My main problem comes from waiting for batteries to charge. I've probably got another hour and a half to 2 hours before my V4L shorty will be up and running again. Any my wife's analogs are right within reach (somebody slap my hand LOL.) But at least I have my Blu to help me through this until I can pull the batt of the charger. I just ordered another battery from V4L, a LONG one, so hopefully, with 3 batts, The craving for an analog will be even less.

BTW: My banner is off by almost 26 hours. Been smoke free for 8 days and 2 hours.

I smoked for 17 years a pack of day and never really attempted to quit. I looked up natural ways to quit smoking and came up on e-cig page. I had never heard of it before and I had to try it, not really thinking of quiting for good. I wanted it for vacations and things like that. I got my first e-cig in and had problems with it. The company sent me some new parts right away. I ordered my own juice the same day. I got both my new parts and my new juice the same day. I tried it out and lovvveeeddd it. I had one pack with 2 analogs in it. I kept it to apease my mind that if I wanted a analog I had one. I haven't even thought about it. It is has been over a week and I don't think I will ever smoke an analog again!
Congrats and if you can't just quit don't give up, over time you will naturally want something healthier, cleaner and you will no longer be the leper that lights up in public!

Good job!

Might have a lot to do with tobacco having MAOIs that limit dopamine break down. That's what I attribute to my not being able to quit analogs for a bit when I started vaping.

Get a higher nicotine mg count too if you're not too high already. Will help you greatly to stick with the vapin'. It's easier to go down from the ecig nic count than to crave the analogs :)

Best of Luck.
