I've been using e cigs for about 5 years . The first 2 years was like I'd vape for a month then back to smoking for a week or two and that's how it was for a couple of years. After that I dug my heals in and said enough is enough and really tried hard. any how in the last 3 years and 4 months i've smoked 45 cigarettes and none in the last 6 months . I think this is it now and I no longer crave cigarettes at all this is probably due to better e cigs. I started on a 801 pen style. anyway I guessI took the long route but got there in the end. If it doesn't work straight away just keep getting back on the horse and try again, eventually it'll stick. now using an mvp 2.0 and compared to the 801 is way better. best of luck and remember just keep chipping away.

First, congratulations on making the decision to put the cigs down. For me, that was the hardest part. It took 40 years of 2PAD a day and a few severe health scares to send me to the local vape Emporium; slow learner.:)

I could have pretty much written your first sentence and here I am, 8 weeks later, a "Happy Vaper." It's so hard to believe that it can actually be so easy once we make the decision and have a great substitute. I agree with everyone who suggests having some strong nic for *emergency cravings*, but can say, my need for such was brief. I started at 24 nic and am now happy with just 8.

Don't even think about whether or not you might wish to eliminate all nic in the future. Right now, just concentrate on remaining a committed Vaper. You can always downgrade to zero in the future should that become important to you. I don't see myself ever going to zero and that's just fine, but to each their own, eh?

Best of luck as Vape On, and I know you will.:)

My husband plans to quit everything eventually, but I'm not sure if I want to. I enjoy vaping. I've now discovered Raspberries-n-Cream and am happily (and naturally) down to 1mg strength in RTAs now. I'll probably be sitting there for a while as every once in a while I get persistent cravings, but 2mg strength is too much for me now. I could mix somewhere in the middle, but I'll just keep things simple.

I think my ProVari Mini is having issues now, though. I seem to be going through a LOT of batteries very rapidly. I chain vape, but I don't think it's enough to go through batteries that quickly (I'm using 18650s in my Mini..Believe it...or not!).

I'd like to pick up another so I have something to use when I send this one in for a checkup.

I finally entered into the world of rebuilding. Not because I'm trying to make Vaping one of my hobbies, but to future-proof my setup depending on what our government does. I guess my next step would be mech mods as I could even build my own if needed.

Into my second calendar-year and still going strong. I've had one brief cigarette craving in the last six months, and even that only lasted a few seconds. The last time I was around actual analog smoke was early December, and I had to move to stand upwind of it. It didn't nauseate me, but it irritated my nose and throat. The smell didn't appeal to me anymore, either. Gimme my fruits and candies any day.

I actually haven't checked into how long I've been stinkie-free in a long time, and won't know until I post this message (I wasn't paying attention when I saw my last post in this thread).

Thank you all for your encouragement and also thanks to those who have posted their stories and successes in this thread. You've all helped a ton!

Congrats to everyone!!

So I'm getting my oil changed at a Quick Lube about 3 months ago. The guy taking the info on the computer pulls out this mack-daddy Greatful Dead psychedelic contraption and starts hitting it. I have absolutely no idea what it is so I ask. He tells me about it. Sounds cool. Can help ya quit smokin' he says. Even cooler. So where's one of these 'whatdaya callem' shops'? Right up the road. The way I'm goin'. I fire up a menthol cig as I pull out. I smoke half of it by the time I pull into the whatdaya callem' shops' parking lot and chuck it in the grass as I get out of the truck. Turns out it's the last cig I'll ever smoke. That was three months ago. Couldn't pay me to smoke a cig now.
