I was previously a 6v only user, but I honestly would not advise 6v on the SB. It leaves a burnt taste to the juice, but a monster throat hit. If you are looking for better throat hit grab up a double barrel tip.

Glad to see you like the SB though, I love mine and could not imagine life without it now.

Have you tried using 6v with your 510 cartomizers? It is said the resistance is higher than regular 510 atties. Maybe that will cut down on the burnt taste.

I am getting a couple of 3v batts just to check it out. I'll be buying non-rechargeables from wally world in case I don't dig 6v. Small investment.

Glad you like your sb, they are awesome!

I really like 6v, I'm pretty much converted to a high voltage guy :2cool:. I haven't really had a problem with that boiled juice taste a lot of people have. One thing I noticed early on in vaping is that any dark juice tended to get a boiled or scorched taste very easily for me. I don't really vape much coffee or chocolate juice for that reason.

I am really looking forward to getting a dbsb top. I am planning on a dbsb with cartomizers for when im on the go, should be fricken awesome!

That is my current set up. It is amazing, although the draw on the cartos are a bit lighter than the draw from normal 510 atomizers. I plan to try the 510 cartos today on my SBPT/6v while brewing my house ale. I doubt I will ever use the 6v option again, but I figure I will give it a shot. Mainly I hope the cartos do not burn up on my SBPT simply because I have become almost very fund of the long vape time/no leak of the cartos.

I have been using cartomizers (KR808d-1) almost exclusively at 6 volts with my SB for about a half year and no juice has ever tasted burnt. Cartomizers have a high resistance (I think 3 Ω).

[Off Topic here but just felt the urge to comment]

I never really notice except when I'm browsing some of the other supplier forums. It's refreshing to be able to freely mention/discuss anybody else's products here. (I mean it's not like they're some super secret after all). Inspiring (and justified in my opinion) that AltSmoke has the confidence in their product and service to let it speak and stand on it's own, heads up with the others.

hahaha, just struck me that ECF doesn't allow links to other e-cig forums does it?

Guys I have a ton of Mods and my 2 SB'S are my go to always and at 6v and a lot of time at 7.2-7.4. Burnt juice depends on the Atty's your using and what the ohms are matched to your Atty & matched both of that with your batt, then on top of it making sure you have enough juice in your Atty not to get that burnt taste.!! OH YA AND HV RULES IF DONE RIGHT.!!! however the new LR Atty's are good too, remember they draw 2 amps instead of one so must people out there arent using a Batt that is correct for this. so if your doing that the right way it's great too, and both are much better than just 3.7 vaping, thats the old days now.!!! Im sure some will differ on this but it's just my opinion, and Rob & Chad ROCK..!!!!!
