Interesting. Has vertical take off and landing, but is it actually a car?
Pretty exciting stuff, but I can't help but hope that the cart stays behind the horse. I hope energy efficiency and alternative energy runs circles around this. Once we get off oil, the world will again be our oyster. 
Problems that I've had with brand new cars like electrical,or slight engine trouble are not things I would like to happen at 10000 feet.Serious trouble.Cool idea though.I just think it's not very practical.

Please! We were promised this back in the '50s and '60s. Nothing new at all. I'm really surprised that after almost 60 years of developement that these people have only gotten this far.
I bet I could land that sucker in my back field no problem. Not that i'm likely to have an extra 200 grand around any time soon.
After counting the number of people I've seen just today that can't drive a regular car on the street, I think I'm going to oppose the flying car. Unless only I can have one to fly over all the ...... currently driving out there now.
That test flight happened here. Didn't know that until I saw the video on that page. Seems like no one here knew, or if they did, no one told me about it. Crazy flying car... it's failed before, I can't see this idea making it too far... kind of like the boat/car.

There were a lot of people who thought amphibian cars would be cool, until they got it, and realized it was a bad car, and a crappy boat, and for the same money, they could have a good car and a good boat.
