Hey guys,
I recently purchased a tank-o-matic liquinator. So far I am liking it. I wanted to try a fusion in it to see if it would work. The size matches up perfectly, the 801 connection with air holes sticks out the bottom and the of the cartomizer is just where it needs to be. So I tried slotting a fusion with a dremel, that worked fine. Now it seems when I use it in the tank it really does not work well at all because the draw is far too tight and I just dont understand why that is. It seems the air holes on the sides would allow for airflow as well as at the bottom where I am using a 510-801 conector. I would really like to get a fusion working on this thing.

Any ideas?

I've been using Fusions in my Liquinator for quite a while now and haven't had any issues with the draw - I've even gone from double-slotting to single and it works well. I use it on an 801 connector, no adapter.

However, I know of one person who had a draw issue with her Fusion recently and it ended up being the carto itself - even after she tried a few classic tight-draw carto fixes and she ended up having to just toss it.

Can you remove the Fusion from the tank and check the draw without too much mess and see if it might be the carto instead of the tank? If not, maybe try a second one and see if there is an improvement?

Good luck to you - hopefully someone else will chime in with a few more ideas. :)

I had one like that and ever couple days I had to run a straightened out paper clip through and work the filler out of the hole. I finally ended up tossing it. It doesn't happen very often but when it does it's a pain. But hey they last so long that theres bound to be one ever so often that is stubborn. Another thing you can try is to put your adapter all the way on your PV first then put the Fusion on but not real tight. If you draw through it while it's off the pv and it's still tight then it's a bad one that has filler in the air hole.

very cool..I used my old maps and made carto tanks...:)
Your the one that give me the idea to recess it into the bottom Delrin. Thank you, It worked very good.

Hey 5card, so I finally got my SS liquinator, I had an issue with the carto that they slotted(tasted like burnt filler material) I could smell it before I even took the caps off for the first time, but anyways, they ended up sending me a new slotted carto and he also gave me an extra poly 3ml tank. Since I have an extra one I am feeling confident enough to try the screw fill hole. Do you know exact sizes of the screw that you used, any other info that I would need to know? Did you use a drill? drill press? by hand? Thread size maybe? Let me know if you can help. Oh and I finally ordered some fusions to use in it as well, lr were sold out but I have a buzz now so I can deal ;)
