No I don't know the exact size I used. I have bins full of screws. Just find a screw that is small so you don't weaken the strength of the tank. I drilled my hole slightly smaller, not much, to have material to cut threads into. Then I got 2 machined thread screws, both the same tread. One was self tapping the other wasn't. I tapped the threads with the self tapping screw then put the other one in after I shortened it. I didn't want a screw sticking out in my tank. The one Mike at notcig is making uses a larger plastic or nylon screw. You might want to go that way. There are a few tanks people made with filler ports though. That's just how I did it. I drilled it by hand, no press.

I actually got it done, I went to the hardware store and got a tap and some screws that matched and cut the screw down so it didnt stick into the tank. Then I went back and found a screw that had a knob instead of a regular screw head and now its really easy to unscrew. Gotta leave for work so sorry if I did not explain things well. Thanks fopr the idea.

Hey, right on. See it wasn't hard at all huh?
how?....was just sitting here trying to figure out how to put a fill port without drilling...lol...

I don't know of a way unless you burnt a hole in it. That would be yucky though. Just drill it. Then get a tap like atavan did to cut the threads or do like I did and use a self tapping screw. A self tapping screw cuts threads as it goes in. Or drill a hole and use a plug of somekind. My other tank was too thin for a screw so I jut a piece off a hose about 1/4 inch wide and slikd it over the hole. I just slide it down a bit to fill then slide it back up over the hole.

Has anyone broached the subject with Isaac about offering pre-slotted/ dotted/punched Fusions for use in our tanks? Has it been brought up elsewhere and I missed it?

I think the idea has some merit with the popularity of tanks increasing. Even though I slot my own, for the right price I would gladly give up my Dremel to the pros at IKV and purchase tank-ready Fusions.

And I'm certain that there are vapers on this forum who would try (and probably love) the Fusions in their tanks who haven't been afforded that opportunity because they either don't have the means or the desire to slot their own or don't have someone nearby enough to do it for them on a regular basis.

The poblem is there are so many different tanks and more coming out every day. Each one has a different spot for the slot. He'd have people complaining about their slot being in the wrong place. But I will offer to slot anybodies cartos as long as they mark them where they want the slot and send prepaid shipping envelope for the return trip.

My thoughts exactly. However...Pokey just got her tank & pre-spotted carto from Inhaler. The carto is spotted right down the middle, equidistant from the top & bottom seals--done, I'm sure, to remedy the problem you mention, but which also which means your carto is going high & dry when your tank is still halfway filled.

How about pre-slotting perhaps .125" above the Liquinator bottom seal? That's bound to be enough margin for error to take in most, if not all the tanks currently out there.

Then what happens when the tank breaks and you get a different tank or Isaac comes out with another carto better than the fusion in a tank? You would be stuck with a bunch of slotted cartos. But that's just my opinion. I like to slot them as I need them. One more thing, what if I decide a smaller slot or something different tomorrow. If people want them and there's a market then go for it but I don't need them.

... and I believe many have overlooked juice viscosity wrt size of the slit. I made my own tank and I am using the Gold V2 dripomisers in mine. The first carto I burnt (to high of a voltage) the second (still in use) the slits are a tad too big for my liquids, but works well with std Bluemist VG liquids. That being said, it still floods (too wet) if I fill it more than 3/4 of the way (head pressure). So for the time being I only fill it 2/3 of the way = 3mls vice 4.5.

The truth of the matter is, folks are looking for plug and play just like Windows. We all know the shortfalls from P&P. From my personal perspective I wouldn't do it either because there is just too many variables.

That's JMO though Pokey and maybe your right. I'm just speaking from my position but that might not fit for everyone. You have a good idea.

Not necessarily right nor wrong, 5card - just throwing the idea out there as I hadn't seen it asked or posted anywhere here at IKV...

Sure, there are lots of variables to consider when deciding whether or not it would be worth the effort and trouble of making this a viable option for folks. But what part of vaping isn't full of variables? And thank goodness it is - one size certainly does not fit all, and that's the beauty of having so many choices - be it DIY, tweaking or plug n' play off the shelf - hopefully everyone will find what works for them. I have (for the moment at least) and was just tossing out there what would be a finger-saving means of using the Fusions for those of us who are less-than-dexterous with a Dremel or a punch. That, and having recently seen that a competitor in the 801 carto market will be offering them pre-dotted, spurred me into asking as I had not considered this possibility before.
