I believe that the batteries will develope on their own. PV's and APV's will merely take advantage of the big developments that will take place anyways. I think a way to get around the bigger batteries is to have a pocket battery with a USB passthrough, but I'm sure someone has already done it or decided it is not feasable.

We were doing that back in 2009. No one really liked being tethered once models like the Kgo and box mods came along.

Sometime ago (1 1/2 years ago) some people (including me)dreaming about ego sized VV. Now we got bic-lighter sized vv (lil sister vv). Now I'm dreaming about a cig sized VW(variable wattage).Who knows what lies ahead.
Hey I already have a cig sized VW. It gets 30 mpg. But I have difficulty loading my surfboard into it.

I'd be perfectly happy with a battery that could be fully charged in 5 minutes or less :D

Although the laser atty sounds cool

Unfortunately it seems like battery technology hasn't advanced at as rapid a pace as almost everything else. But having say a 2000MaH battery in the form factor of an ego would be fantastic. It seems like we're at the point where the size of mods is pretty close to the size of the battery(s) it uses, but sure, improvements can (and I'm sure will) be made and it'll be great!

40 years ago, this was a high energy 1.5v cell. 3 of these babies and you could vape all day. Of course, it would be heavy and as long as a light saber. They were about 6 inches tall.

Give technology another few years and you will have longer life and size reduction. We don't have to wait another 40. The military is looking at battery weight and size reduction with longer life to reduce the load on Land Warriors.

great point (unfortunately :( ) but i have faith in vaping taking over and becoming mainstream. maybe once vaping gets to be like cell phones, cars, etc where everyone has one, then maybe we can see some awesome developments. then again, maybe not. it is, as you say, all about the cash. maybe some rogue millionaire vaper will fund the research. ...c'monnnnn millionaire vaper! :rolls dice:

Highly unlikely. The vaping market is way too small for the enormous cost associated with making powerful batteries that small. If they can't make powerful enough and small enough batteries to make an affordable all electric car that compares in performance to a gasoline powered car, who is going to dump the money into small, powerful batteries for vaping? Hell, the US can't even find the money to stay in the space business that spawned many advances in technology.

At least we still can do this (until stupid people get their way in more city council meetings). I hope the future of PV's becomes one where people actually realize there's no reason to fight them. We need more positive public sentiment than we do improved ecigs. Bring on legitimate lab testing that will tell the truth and declare them to be safe!

I personally can't wait to see "we are vapers" and see how much buzz it produces after it is let loose onto the public...will be great! I think the future in vaping and great inovations are bright in both PV's and hardware :D

I personally would love to see cartos last at least a couple months before going south and filler that can take on dark eliquid without making the draw too stiff!
