Start out by saying I am an avid backpacker and vaper. I wanted to start a thread too discuss both and figured(knowing) that since I like too go off topic this would be the place to post.

So does anyone else vape on the trail? How do u deal with battery life? And most important what kindagear do u use?

If u participate in any other outdoors activity like rock climbing, kayaking, ect like to hear from u as well

Well, I haven't graduated to backpacking as of yet. I do tend to go out cycling for about six hours at a time, and I've been known to walk out into the woods and not be seen for 14 hours. I'm taking it slow because this whole being able to breath thing is kind of new to me, and I also have double knee injuries I am doing battle with. But I personally charge all my batteries the night before and bring them along in a small pocket on my backpack (I have a CamelBak, but it's the actual backpack type). When cycling I'll only bring one spare battery, because in order to vape I have to stop to get it out of the pack as I don't like it dangling off my neck while I ride and there isn't a free pocket to be had. Now when I go wander off into the woods, I keep one fully charged battery around my neck and the rest packed away (by "the rest" I mean two extra Twist batteries and four extra 650 batteries). I haven't had an issue really with needing more than two batteries on a trip out. But, like I said, I haven't graduated to actual backpacking. That's probably a year or so away for me. My advice... lots of batteries. :)

Lol yes lots of batteries is what I take now but I am looking at getting a passthrough and a large USB battery pack like a Trent 12000mah that has a 2amp out seen it on amazon I think. That way I can use it to vape and as a backup battery for my iPhone and other devices. That makes it multi function which is key in backpacking cause it helps keep wieght down. And if u ever want a backpacking/hiking partner just pm me I would love to see some of nc hills and also love to show you some of what ky has to offer!

Also eton radio Eton Grundig NFRX3WXB Hand Turbine AM/FM/NOAA Weather Radio with USB Smart Phone Charger and LED Flashlight - Black would this work to power a USB passthrough?

I may actually take you up on that one day. NC has some beautiful areas, even in the middle of the city. And I'd love to see Kentucky. Once my knees are better I'll go for it. Between dropping a bunch of weight and suddenly being able to breath again, I'm going out doing all this stuff I was never able to do before, and it amazes me I go so far on a bicycle. But I seem to over done it a little. LOL! I have issues with ACL and meniscus in the right knee, and meniscus and overuse injuries in the left. Which is why I say maybe a year or so. LOL! But at that point, I am all over trying out some real backpacking.
