As for the button on bottom, what better than
the mayan calendar. I think it would look cool. Im not sure if that is the "complete" calendar, because I see a lot of more detailed pieces like this

That design wont work. The tube would be fine but the button is way to intracate. The tank has to have a design that can be touching on the outside edges. Cool idea though

I'm not sure what I was thinking about when I was making the tank design? I knew it had to all touch. Whoops!
Im pretty sure with enough thought, that design would look very similar and gorgeous in production.

Well, they're not in production any more. So, I suppose they're not subject to the 20% mark up limit on the classies, if that's what you mean. Mines worth more to me, anyway.
