Yeah, I know. I was just trying to figure out how it was goony? Lol it was supposed to symbolize the end of the world. Does the goon squad try to blow up the world? When I read goon I thought of that scary thing in the goonies.

dude, he wasnt talking about your idea...he was mentioning about making a 'goon squad' LE :p

Ok I have ordered a kick and I already have 18490 aw batteries I bought with my Provari. I am gonna try to score a Hell Raiser when they go on sell and if I don't get it i'll buy a standard. Where are y'all getting coil wire and wicks from?

Great minds think alike it seems. I just ordered a kick and have leftover provari batteries as well. The idea of a variable watt, regulated iHybrid is indeed tantalizing. I just hope the gap with the kick isn't too bad... I'm assuming this is an issue with aw nipple top batts. Maybe the efest flat tops would fix it, they're smaller, at least the efest 18650 flats are smaller than the 18650 aw imr batts... Maybe this applies to the 18490's from efest as well.

one of the biggest reasons that deter me from getting a kick, is the 10w max....even with the v2 thats supposed to come out, 12w still isn't enough (vaping 13w or more)... granted, having regulated power is a selling point for me, but unless they up the ante even more, I don't think I'll be buying one any time soon...

Thanks just what I was looking for, I want 500 SS Mesh and which Kanthal Wire gauge do you recommend?

I haven't tried 500 yet. Just received my order of some 400 & 500 from them yesterday so have not had a chance. I'm using 32g for now on 400 without issues.

Thanks i'll get that then. sorry this will be my first rebuild-able.:toast:

Much discussion in many threads on this subject. LadyStrick9 (one of our diligent regulars here) has compiled a spreadsheet full of invaluable information here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmYrSL_FJC4NdHZUb0xvVzRrNi1Qb2NCQ0dUUVdZUmc#gid=1

I think, if it's your first rebuildable, kanthal 32 a-1 is the place to start. If you are using the Kick, it won't make much difference how many wraps you put on your coil. I use 3/4, but I probably should use 4/5, since I Kick my iHy as well. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the higher resistance coil, all else being equal, will result in a longer battery life. Kanthal 32 will be easier to work with. Lots of folks who don't Kick their iHy's use a bigger gauge wire, or twist their wire for lower resistance and a hotter vape. This is the beauty of the iHy. You have the ability to tailor your vape to your style.

How do you keep from burning your juice at such high wattage?

I decided to buy a range of gauges to play with I got 28,32 and 36 and also 400 and 500 wire.

my understand is the battery life is determined by amps?

volt / ohm = amp.

so if youre using 1 ohm coil with 10w of power, thats ~3.2v. youre draining 3.2amps. if youre using 2ohm, youll need ~4.5v for 10w of power. thats 2.25 amps.

2.25 is significantly less than 3.2amps. i think thats how you determine battery drain, def not sure though. i wanted to make a topic and ask but i saw this and figured why not post here
