better then lower #mesh. Capillary action is the best the higher you get with the mesh.

BJ has done some testing on strait VG, and it is correct to use the finer grade of SS mesh to improve wicking characteristics. I have never had too many issues with wicking, possibly cuz I tilt a lil'. I have noticed with the small wick diameter of the DUD, extreme chain vaping with 400mesh can get a little dry, thats why I prefer the 500. I have not tried the 635 yet, cuz no need at this point IMO. May try out of curiosity though. I heard it was almost like silk, and can be a little difficult to roll if not pre-moistened with VG/PG.

Ok so my question is will the glass tubing fit in any wick hole? Is there a certain size to use with the iHy? Would you have to drill the hole bigger in the iHY to use the glass tubing? Just curious to know. But it does sound promising. I have subscribed to that thread.

Smallest glass is 3 mm, so you will need a hole that size to go through. If it does not fit, I would say just use a smaller lenght tube and wrap your coils around it, or drill out the wick hole of your unit.

Virginia is for vapers
I personally think that the glass wick tubing is a good idea in theory, but just an extra step of fussiness that I don't need (YMMV). I can see this befitting someone new to genisis setups though, especially if they just cant get it right - but I think they should learn eventually. I am a "learn without a crutch" kinda guy.

I dont plan on drilling my iHy either. But from the sounds of it. You probably dont need to use SS. Cotton or silica would work too. Im interested to see what people try and see how its working. I like things easy as possible. This may be the trick for that. but Im not going to jump on this right away. Ill wait for some more testing to be done first.

Oh and Good morning everyone.

the glass will create less fuss IMHO

1.) no gunk/buildup on the coils, therefore it will last longer without cleaning
2.) no hotspots/shorts at all
3.) wick used can be made of any (safe) material that has the best capillary action
These points are definitely true - and anyone that wants to try it SHOULD give it a go. When I say it seems unnecessary, I am speaking for myself. I list of CONS I can think of right off the top are:
1) Another vape supply you need to keep in stock
2) Money spent on said vape supply
3) Extremely fragile - the tubing could easily break simply by your mod falling over
