Virginia is for vapers
And I gotta tell you Phr0st, that has been my experience since iHy 1, from day 1, and with every iHy I've had since. It's the reason I'm still here. A fantastic device with fantastic support from Face that is 2nd to none. We're a lucky bunch :)
I actually find that it is the hardest geni too get going myself - but when you do, it is great. For example, not long after I posted that, it started not vaping that well. Now I can't get a decent coil on it to save my life. I don't have half the problems on my other genis, but then again, they don't vape a nice either. You would think I would be an expert after vaping genis for this long, but the iHy is a bear for me to get going. Eventually, I get it, but only after a long bit of frustration. All this is especially surprising if you knew what a technical guy I was... I have tried every method and combination of methods for wicks/coils, but still sometimes takes me forever to get somethin going. Sometimes I get lucky - it's all a crap shoot.

[EDIT] I think most of the time, my problem is the wick. I just pulled a trick I have done before in the past: Turned the wick upside down and wrapped the other end. Now its perfect again. Go figure...

Finally caught up...WHEW!!!

And with that...hope everyone had a great Turkey Day!!!

In regards to the glass wick idea....being an electrician....I was going to say that halogen lamps, high wattage flood lights and the like are made with fused quartz....due to the high heat involved.
This at least is a proven usage with electricity and heat and glass.....:2cool:

Gracie is beautiful, I'm glad she is back. I hope your surgery goes well, let us know when you go in so we can say some collective prayers and well wishes for you. I gathered it is a neurological surgery, which is scary to say the least. My son fell of the tire swing a month ago, and the folks on here were a great sense of support for me during that time. Funny you would'nt think a collection of unknown acquaintences would be that supportive, but the people on this thread are the BEST. Once again so glad you got your HR, man you definately are gonna baby that one, I have no doubt!!!

Actually it will be for a cyst/tumor removal, non neurological it seems. We won't know anything else until they get in there first. After it is biopsied I will know what, if any, further treatment I will have to go through.

Everyone has been of great support and I greatly appreciate it all. I should have answers soon. Gracie is snoring next to me right now. She is my non stop, daily source of love.

As for the HR, you are right, it will be proudly displayed and proudly used. A first of many I am sure, but one that anyone who knows me will take one look at and say it is sooooo you.

I cannot wait to see it in person. I am unbelievably grateful.

Gonna catch up on a couple pages really quick. Just wanted to give an update on that DIY Pizza w/ Bacon juice..

Just...

Don't. I know it sounds like fun on a bun, but the only fun to be had was by my wife and sister as they watched me try it.

Plus that wick now has a slight pizza hint ugh.. had to toss it. Back to Gummy Bears while my Pluid I cut steeps evenly.

Happy thanksgiving everyone!! I tried this new glass method on the wick and I didn't have a good experience, the taste was off and so was the vapor, but maybe I didn't do it right, but IMO my 28ga 3/2 wrap at .8 ohm is hard to beat lol

Yea I use 28awg with a 4/3 wrap and it's a total blast to the face,or should I say tastebuds and lungs! Sometimes I get in a nicoma tho because it's so damn good:vapor:

Heyyy everybody! Just wanted to say hello and tell yall that I will be joining the ihy club. I bought the standard v2.1 on the twentieth. I've been doing tons of research on these beautiful mods in hopes that I don't annoy you guys with lots of noob questions. So stoked for my ihybrid! Woot woot :D

Hey Jeffy it's all good dude ask all the questions you need to ask,the only dumb question is when you don't ask and never find out what you need to know!
Just be patient with your iHy and it will come with time and experience:)
