Promise me you won't laugh!!! Didn't have a drill bit so I cut off one end of a Q-tip so it would slide in the opening, and it works perfectly.

I tried it for a day... I decided that I was getting so much better results "old school", that I went back. I am watching the Pyrex/fused quartz thread, though. I think that sounds promising.

Only problem I've had using that method is getting the right size coils. Most often they were too big or too small for the wick. I always had to adjust after the fact.
I use the old school method as well with a dry tank and wick and adjust a lil to get an even fire from the coil.
More often than not it takes a few ml of juice run through the setup to season a bit before it settles and becomes flawless.

I gotta tell ya, I used to think that the Caravela had the best switch in the business, but other than it's sleeker, it's got nothing over Face's switch.

I agree... Until I started dicking with mine. That's why I'm looking for replacement switches. Hopefully he'll have them close to the same time as the Illuminati, and I can have him throw a couple in the package. Looking forward to the left hand thread locking ring, too.

I found that even the old switch was great

Hey everyone. I was wondering if I could get some suggestions. Took me a while to get my new standard to work cause I'm new to genesis style. Think I got it nailed now though the last wick and coil fired flawlessly. Not one hot spot and perfectly even. Oxidizing was my problem. I don't think it's firing right though. One time I'll hit the switch and it's instantly glowing and the next time I hit it and it's struggling to light up. This is dry on set up no juice. I fill the tank and start blowing clouds one minute and hardly anything the next. I'm at a lose. Cleaned both contacted with a scotchbrite also. Seems to be intermittent miss fire. Could it be the switch or batteries? 18350 seems to be better than my 18650. Thanks guys

THe Red Dragon looks awesome, am looking forward to setting her up. What is the extra threaded part for? Replace the plastic in the switch?
Thanks

when you say extra threaded part, do you mean the red ring that has threads on the inside, if so that is the ring to use instead of the tank protector.
