I have to take my switch apart an clean it regularly. I get the same intermittent function. I'm beginning to think it could be the loose tolerance between the contact post and the body of the switch.

That's cool thanks TechJ I didn't take it apart to clean it yet. What's the process you use to do that? Take the screw out pull everything apart and can you clean it with iso alcohol? Is it ok to use 91% I can't find 99% any where?

I usually just take a paper towel and regular old rubbing alcohol. I disassemble the switch and give it a once over with alcohol on a paper towel then rub out as much tarnish from the contact areas with a dry paper towel ( need a little abrasive action from it being dry) then a quick once over with alcohol again to remove the leftovers. Reassemble then fire away.

The higher the alcohol percentage the faster it drys.

thats why I said anodize it :)

what about titanium?

Happy thanksgiving!!!

I'm still a bit skeptical about the anodized aluminum longevity, but Titanium is top notch material and you can also make it any color you like by anodizing it. Great idea tho! I'm sure it will increase the production costs.
