It takes me a lot longer to get a good coil on my ZAP in comparison to the iHybrid. I have absolutely no idea why that is, it seems when I wrap a coil on the iHybrid all it takes is a couple wiggles and it's good to go. Maybe it's just me and I suck with my ZAP

Seems I really just need an insulator for my ZAP (from an old carto). Not quite sure why I don't need one for my iHybrid. Some sort of voodoo magic Faceless puts on these devices...

I'll have an ihybrid hopefully within the week. I've noticed on my ac9 it works well with large hollow wick or a large wick with only a needle size hole running down the center. What works best for you guys on the ihybrid? Personally I use almost all vg juice.

325 ss mesh, 32g kanthol a1 rolled kinda thin 4/5 wrap vaping for 2 weeks

if i roll it thicker where it barely fits the hole i pop a few inches of wire, i may switch to 28g but no need as of yet

Lately I'm really liking gandalf from HHV. But I like it in 100 percent VG. I'm not sure how straight VG works in these ihys. Will it be okay with 400 ss mesh or should I get a 80/20 mix just to be safe ?

Your wick settups sound good and should be fine. I use 70/30 PG/VG and I use Fat wicks and a Twisted 32 kanthal with a 4/5 wrap...

325 is better, 400 seems to make me tilt more often to get a good toot

I use 400 mesh, with a wick that fits in the hole with quite a bit of wiggle room. Not sure of the exact dimensions. I use twisted 32 awg kanthal with a 3/4 wrap, usually comes out to about 1.1-1.2 ohms.

Twisted Kanthal is considered by some to be cheating when it comes to coil shorts (I don't think so and prefer twisted half the time)

Just make sure to twist you wire tight if you do. Twisted setups don't short as bad or often but you will have to do more wraps or a fatter wick with this, as twisted two strands of kanthal halves the resistance

I've found that with my 2/3 or 3/4 wrap or 28 or twisted 32 awg the thick wicks hold up better. Anyone know the size of the ihybrid wick hole? I always drill out my atties but I won't on the ihybrid

just thought i'd post this but...rtdvapor has fantastic prices on quantity of wire. most commercial stores sell 2-3 feet for $3 dollars, i just ordered 50 feet of 28ga kanthal for $10
