Hi everyone! I wanted to update you on my problem with my iHybrid. Poor EZkill volunteered to help walk me through some steps to take it apart COMPLETELY trying to diagnose what might be the problem. At first, he thought maybe the positive and negative posts were being connected by a wayward wire .... but I think he ruled that out. I learned a great deal about the inner-parts of the device, trust me! Maybe most of you could have done this easily...but I must not follow verbal instruction very well. I knew it was going to be nearly impossible for him to help me figure it out over the phone or computer.

To make a long story short,....Faceless is going to take a look at it. I went through 4 batteries. The 4th one was after I had disassembled, cleaned, re-assembled and re-coiled it...it dry fired the most beautiful coil. I thought we had fixed it because I didn't feel the switch heating up like before. EZ had me remove the battery though and check it....and DANG! Another one bit the dust!

I can't thank all of you enough for your suggestions and offers for help. I mean it :) I'm so grateful to have friends on here who jump in and are willing to give their time, supplies and advice to me without a second thought!

I'll keep you posted :)

Dangit, I didn't get the HR yesterday, But after checking my bank i see it DID actually reserve the amount until the 30th.
So now I'm broke until then, and have no HR to show for it.. :(

I'll adopt the saying i saw earlier in the thread: "If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all" :glare:

The switch feels like its jamming because it has a bad short, the switch is sticking to the battery due to the short, which in turn is heating up and melting the plastic around battery. The problem is going to be the top post. The top post on top of atty shouldnt be in contact with any metal, it sits on a non conductive material under it so it doesnt touch the base. Either the top post is touching the atty somehow or the negative screw is touching the top post. Have you dropped it or bent it anyway? Have you tried taking it apart by chance? Quit melting batteries and send it to me lol. What juices do you use lady? I promise the problem is the top post touching the base or the ground screw causing a short. Thats all it can be :)

ok back to work, I'll check back later, a few people have my number lady, they can contact me if needed, but vapor and ez are on the right track as well, pics of the top post and ground screw would be helpful, or just send it to me asap

Oh, Faceless and EZkill, I didn't see your posts before I commented above...I was anxious to let people know what was going on. I am going to package it up and get it to Faceless, asap. Don't worry....I'm not going to waste anymore batteries! And, a couple of them were starting to get ready for the "recycle" pile anyway.

Thanks :)

Lady I am worried here. Any word?

Charger....thanks for worrying...that's nice :)

I as a new Ihybridian really want to thankyou for this it is a huge wealth of information you have compiled. :toast:

I'm glad you took the time to check it out Zack! Kudos! You give me hope! LOL

Honestly today is a very bad pain day. The cyst/tumor is really swollen today and causing a very high pain level. On a triple dose of pain pills and it is not touching it. Hoping to get with the surgeon by end of the week.

Otherwise I am good. Just happy for the smartphone right now. Gives me something else to focus on for a bit. Also enjoining some great Waffle juice at the moment. I call it breakfast in bed. :D

Thanks for asking. :D

Talking about it every so often is actually a good way to release it mentally. It helps the screaming voice of pain in your head to quiet down for a bit, believe it or not.

Oh, so very sorry you're going through this Krash. I'll be sending prayers, love and light your way. And, PM me if you need someone to talk to.

Lady we have to keep track of our holder of all knowledge. Sorry about the ihy. Hope you have something to vape

I have a "Gripper" mod and some older Egos....I'll be ok. Thanks for asking :)
