Option two......I fold a length of wire over, clamp the loose ends with a vice grip, hang the closed end off an allan key, and then just give the vice grip a spin. I get a nice tight coil everytime.

Even easier... Cut a length of wire, go a little over on the first try, you'll figure out the right length by your second one..

Wrap the loose ends around the negative post and tighten to secure.

Put your Allen key in the looped end, keep some tension on it and start tightening. It will create a perfect twist and don't worry about the little open loop on the end since you're going to cut off the excess anyway.

the negative post on the chobra is horrible. its a tiny screw that hardly secures the wire. i seriously pull the coil off the negative while trying to coil by accident non stop. its such a piece...im sure on the ihy it works perfectly.
