It makes for a smoother throw than the spring it seems. I will say I think it would benefit from one more magnet in the top part. Right now I have 3 in the bottom and the other two in the top and it doesn't push the switch as far down as I think it should. Still like it better than the spring though.

I use 3 and 2 magnets in place of the bottom spring, and left the regular spring in for the delrin ring. If you go to 6 magnets, the spring may not depress all the way, depending on which revision of the switch you use...but magnets won't wear out :)

I am a new owner and have probably missed this posted earlier on the thread, but can you remove the center post? I see a screw the bottom of the tank where the battery connects to the atty. I was going to copmpletely break it down to clean/soak. Dont want to mess anything up though. Thanks

DONT take it out!!! just pull the battery tube off, and the tank...and clean away.....

Yes you can, but you shouldn't need to, and if you do you risk not getting it back on tight enough. Face just had to deal with me and the top post and he warned me if it wasn't tight enough it could leak into the battery tube.

Do Not Disassemble the atty! The center post has been basically silver soldered. If you take the top screw loose you will end up having to send it back to Faceless for repair.

You can remove the tank or flush it with alcohol to clean it. If you flush it I would suggest rinsing it with hot water afterwards to dilute any remaining alcohol residue.

Yes I left the spring for the delrin in as well, didn't want batts to rattle. Hmm... Maybe I wont try 6 then. I'll use it for a while and see if I still prefer it to the spring. I've only owned my iHy for 3 weeks or so, so I'll prolly' bounce between the two for a while til' I settle into something. Thanks for the heads up V Ninja :toast:

I'm glad some of us take safety into consideration when it comes to these devices. I posted up a Ohm's Law calcuator here and another thread last night to help others understand (if they didn't) and learn. But one said some can take it as an insult and called it garbage and to just adjust away. Oh well...

I can only speak for myself, but anything that can help some one understand what they are doing is never garbage. As to those who might feel insulted, well great they don't need the help, but if everyone understood it then we wouldn't have a quarter of the posts we do throughout ECF

Excuse my profanity but .... USPS right now! I'm tracking my shipping, it left TX, I live in CA. And the package is currently in Atlanta Georgia. So much for delivery date for my illuminati being tomorrow -.-

Do not discount them yet, it sounds like it is taking the airmail route rather than ground shipping route. I have had something scheduled for delivery the next day actually be on time from all the way across the country in Connecticut so there is still hope that it will be there tomorrow if it is in Atlanta :D

That's no good. They need to keep up with the seasons. Will they take requests?

Yeah it seems most of the patrons of that store drink Bud and Coors and the like, that's most of what they stock so I'm sure the seasonal brews sit for a while. Oh well.
I don't know if they will take a request, super nice clerks so I shall see next time I'm there. Til' then I'll just enjoy this Shift, pretty tasty stuff, just wish it came in bottles instead of pint cans.
