Wick is not touching the bottom. Wick can slide but coil is touching all the way around. Zen's video was a lifesaver. Tried the 1st night for 3 hours without luck. Watched Zen's video and did one on the 1st try. Battery is good. Keegan's tips really helped and it's much better. Thanks for the tips.

Just don't give up, once you know the set up than it's simple.

More than likely I'm used to hitting a HH357 which takes a much stronger draw.

I don't pull the vapor from the coil I kinda slowly let it come to me.
And I draw from my lungs not my mouth.
I tried a carto last week and I couldn't pull the vapor from it with my lungs.
It was too stiff of a draw.

I'm in the same boat, the draw is super airy. The flavor is there but its super airy.

Off to wait for wire so I can make a new coil.

Think we need to get used to it, unless we're both doing something wrong.

I'd just like to thank grruss for telling me about the ihybrid. I dont get to read all of Zens thread because it just moves too fast and I usually dont have the time. If it wasnt for grruss I never would have discovered the ihybrid in time to get on the list and order one. Since receiving mine I dont think I have put it down. It has become my favorite APV. Even my Zen isnt getting attention nowadays. Thanks again grruss!!

Thanks Gruss :)

By request from a different forum, I did this little experiment.

I don't know exactly what it proves, except for that the switch is not airtight and allows venting. I strongly believe this does not prove the iHybrid (or any other PV with some little vent hole/space/switch) is "safe" to use with unsafe chem batteries. Moreover, using a Genisis style atomizer with a Lithium Cobalt battery is not a good idea because these batteries may not tolerate well the momentary current draw of a partial short which is so common with our coils at least in the beginning.

ONLY USE IMR batteries with the iHybrid or any other Genisis style.

Thanks, I havent been able to get around to it :)

Bad day with the iHybrid. No flavor, very airy vapor. I literally get a better hit of a boge carto on an ego.Don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have a well oxidized coil and no hot spots on the coil. It ended up leaking out all in my pocket at my sisters baby shower. So embarrassing. Came home and rewrapped a new coil no hot spots but still no flavor and vapor. I'm taking 6-8 second draw just to get a somewhat satisfying hit and because I'm taking such long draws that my pinky is killing me. I literally have indents. My 18650 tube was supposed to be in today ( mine was the one with the threads that were not right) but I didn't realize it needed a signature so it won't be here till Monday. Not Faceless' fault but it was just the one thing I was looking forward to after a frustrating day. I really want this device to work and work well but all this hassle without any payoff is really discouraging. Here's a pic of my wick and coil. If anyone has ANY sort of advice it would be much appreciated.

Your wick is too tall, its touching your top cap, it needs to be trimmed below screw, feel your top cap when vaping, is it hot? May be causing a small short

Side note: The only complaint I'm getting is the spring, I will be changing that, sorry for the spring lol, but it can be easily changed to anything you want, just unscrew the screw on the switch and change the spring to one you desire. Its very hard finding the spring I need from a supplier :)

Ah. Below the screw.
I think I just found my short. LOL

Vapor and flavor are good, but the juice is dark and I'm not even down half a tank.
And, the top cap is getting warm.

My wick is even/just a hair below the top of the screw.
I need to trim off a little then to get it below the screw.

I'll try that and see if it helps.

Yeah, the wick is heating up your top cap :) Let me know how it works for you, I have my wick even with where the top screw starts to thread

I got my Ihybrid out of the mailbox thursday evening on my way to work and really didn't get to play with it till friday night.I roasted some 325 and rolled a wick to fit and roasted it again, put on 4 wraps of kanthal 32,and promptly popped the coil.I rewrapped and promptly popped it again.Rewrapped, success!vapes great!!Today the vape was wimpy, even on a fresh 18650 so I pulled the wick, burnt the e-juice off, wrapped it again,Viola!Big clouds of tasty vapor! It musta been shorting to the top cap or wick hole, cause it hits much stronger now.The small phillips head screw makes a easier draw too.Good job faceless!

Thanks! With that terrible spring sometimes you have to angle the push lol, spring issue is fixed, sorry about that terrible spring. Thank goodness it can be fixed for about 30 cents lol. I wish I could find magnets, I would love to try them out but the new spring is perfect!! Once I get caught up I will probably ship them out to the first 50, or you can buy them from keegan right now lol

Once my iHybrid lands I'm sure this site will have the right magnets but I'll have to caliper your screw.

Just saying these so far have been one size fits all for all the devices I've changed over to magnet switches, GGTS and Katana. I still have like 80 of them left so I'll tell you if they work. They seem to make a significant difference in the current transfer as in both those devices the switch bottoms out on 3 magnets and makes a very solid connection.

Not sure if they'll work with the iHybrid but always worth trying :D

Those wont work, I just checked, the post they have to slide over is .24" and OD is .48-.50"

Thank you. Your kind words are much appreciated.

You can send me money if you want lol

rewick/coil just now.

How is that working? Wick looks like it might touch top cap but maybe just shy :)
