The rule of thumb I'll be following for my 1st coil and wick; coil should be above 1.0-1.2ohm and below 2.0ohm, thicker juice needs higher # mesh for wick.

ok as far as the mesh, I won't say others don't have a different opinion, but I personally have been using 325 mesh and have no wicking issues with thick juice, what I have found makes a difference thanks to Ez is the ss or the mesh, 316 works better than 304

Is the Mesh Company known for doing this kind of thing? I have some 500 I ordered from them, using it right now. Not sure if I could tell the difference though, especially in a Fatty V2.

I would say no.

They make all their own meshes. They used to just sell end of roll stuff for small e-cig sizes, now due to demand they make it custom for the e-cig stuff. I have mesh company 400 and 500 in the 316. I can say two things for sure...it's 316 as they advertise. The 304 meshes are not nearly this soft, it's a big difference between 304 and 316 when it comes to mesh. The second thing I'll say is the 400 and 500 are noticeably different. Does the 500 actually 500 just as advertised? I don't know I won't count the strands. But side by side you can see that the 500 is not the same as the 400.

no, its threaded to replace the top part of the caravela, paps, and gus. there is one to the right on the pic, you can see the threads on bottom :)

Is it a solid brass adjustable center pole like the Caravela/Paps/Gus tops as well? Waiting for this one.

Just ordered some 325 to mess with. What made you decide on 325?

I like more VG in my juice and I heard 325 is is better for thick juice. ( I have also heard 500 is good to so im slightly confused. Lol ) but so far the 325 is wicking good for me . I have some dragons fire from HHV in it at a 30 pg/ 70vg ratio and its ripping . Amazing taste and clouds of vapor. Let me know how you feel about it once yours arrives !

Ok I haven't been able to try all the different mesh out like the 500 and the 6whatever, but I was talking to Ez who has tried just about everything out as far as that goes. He explained to me that was actually one point he didn't notice any major difference from the 325 or the 400/500, where he found the difference was the 304 vers the 316. Now as the 325 is cheap even in getting the 316 I could afford to get more going that route.

First ever mod I've purchased new should be here on Tuesday. Every other mod I've purchased has been through the classifieds for amazing deals because I could never really afford to go brand new.

I'm looking forward the brand new feel for my 2nd iHybrid :D

To my surprise it came a day early, and my iHybrid family has begun! I began my day with 1 standard iHybrid that I had purchased off of the classifieds at a discounted price, and today he got a brother...a brand new iHybrid directly from Faceless. I was really sold on the clear anodizing :D and I am so glad Faceless did another run. Thank you so much! I prefer plain devices that I can take out and about without getting to much notice, and these iHybrids are perfect for that!

I put together a photo album from unboxing to vape ready. I included some side by side shots so some people can see the difference in the clear (gunmetal) anodizing versus the plain aluminum. They both have their pros and cons, but right now I am digging the gunmetal esque color.

Once again, thanks Faceless for doing another run of the clear anodized tubes! One comment, on the bottom of my switch there's a line going across it and the aluminum on one side of the line looks different than on the other side(see album below). I'm not to worried about it because I'll end up scratching it up anyway...but would it be possible for me to purchase a new switch from you? I'll gladly pay...

Thanks for the info, Ez. Always full of information! :)

I heard, re: the difference between 325 & 400, 500 & 635 aside, that the reason folks had recommended 325 for higher vg blends was that 325 gave a better throat hit, and that they both wicked the same.

Now, there's a guy who has been doing some testing using different mesh as wicks and using vg like fuel in a kerosene lamp, who says 635 wicks better than 500, which in turn wicks better than 400, etc.

I just received some 635 from a co-op, and have vaped a tank of BB using it in my Illuminati. I'm happy with it, so far, but don't know if I would buy it again if I had to pay retail.

There's my FWIW.
